Last stop of our Hawaiian cruise that leaves next week. Are there vendors at the pier? Either want to see the blow hole or do a wine tour. Anyone been here lately? About how much for tours?

We have a large group. Some want to horseback on the beach. Some want to parasail. A few want to swim with the dolphins. Does anyone know about any of this? I don't have that kind of time to research.

There were too many tours listed. I started contacting some and gave up as they couldn't accomodate our group. I was there a couple years ago and remember busses at the port but we want to plan something ahead of time. I only found 1 tour so far and they charge $50 a person. When we went it wasn't that much.

We have a group of 25 adults and are looking for a private tour. Some want to see the city and others want to see the beaches, just a general site seeing tour. Any suggestions?

We have a group of approx. 30 that is interested in a tour of San Juan that we can create the itinerary. Is there any company that can do that?

Are the chairs still free to sit in or do you have to rent them now?

I have searched this thread and have gone back pages. Can anyone tell me if there are any tours offered when you get off the tender? We are just looking for a cheap tour as we have done this port before but it's been years. A couple of our group want to see the ruins and a couple would just like to go to a beach somewhere and drink beer. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Are there tours waiting at the port that you can just take when you get there? Anyone know where they go and how much they charge? Just looking for a couple hour island tour, beach stop for an hour or so, then back to the city for a little bit. We don't get in to port until 1pm, so we're limited.

Have never been in this port. Really struggling with what to do. Don't want to take a tour as we don't know what we would see. We have our own snorkel gear. I have read about Mambobea beach, Cas Abao beach and Cabana beach. I have no idea how far they are, if you need a cab or if the bus goes there, etc. Also have no idea what there is to in town. Help!!!

Was looking for a beach that we could get to by bus. Any ideas? Have heard about Moomba Beach and Palm Beach. Amsterdam Manor too. So confusing. Somebody mentioned a blow hole and I have no idea where that is or what it is either. Any advise would be appreciated.

did it go to the natural bridge?

I found the comment, but it just said to go down the street. I have read on other places that they also have an open air bus at the terminal and the employees are wearing blue shirts. When I asked where they took you, I didn't get an answer. Has anyone taken this tour and what did you see? We really just want an island tour. Possibly the rocks and bridge, but other than that, not too picky. The poster said they will drop you at a beach on the way back too. Anyone????

we have our own snorkel things so what beach would you recommend going to so that we can see a lot of different fish?

I read somewhere that there is an Island Tour in an open air bus for $15pp. I can't find the info anywhere now. Looking for an inexpensive way to see the island.

After researching this beach, I have put all the information together. Will someone that has recently done this please comment?
It seems that you can get a taxi to Bayahibe Beach for about $60 round trip. That's for the taxi and not per person. If I'm understanding this right, the taxi can take up to 14 people, so if there is just 2 of us, we can share with others and split the cost. This is a beautiful, calm public beach. There are shops, places to eat and drink and restrooms (although I understand they're not the nicest)
The taxi will wait for you to come back. It's about a 20-25 minute ride.
We don't want to do an organized tour and we also don't want to spend a lot of money on this port. Any information will be helpful.

We will be there in 2 weeks. I am really looking forward to going to Sapphire. Would you recommend water shoes or fins? We have both. Some beaches are so shallow that the shoes work better, but if it is a big area, the fins do the trick.

Just got back from Valor a few days ago. We were on the small deck in front watching us pull away from the dock. We could see all of the balconys on that side of the ship. All 4 ports, on the same balcony, we (along with everybody else) saw this couple naked and 'celebrating' on their balcony. I didn't find out about it until the last port, but my DH along with many other DH's never missed a port.

How was the snorkeling at the beach you ended up at?
snorkeling excursion available at port?
in Belize

Tried booking an excursion ahead of time with several different companies and they all say that if they can't fill up the boat, they will cancel the excursion. They won't know if it's canceled until you get there. I don't want to get there only to find out it has been canceled. Has anyone been there recently and gone on an excursion you booked there at the carnival port? If so, where did it go and how much was it?
