  1. OK silly question ... are you allowed to only drink the wine you bring on within the 4 walls of your cabin ... or can you take a glass of bubbly out of your cabin up to an open deck to watch the sailaway. Just wondering whether this would be possible. Thanks :)

I think it's all about to what degree you want to risk it. We normally get a couple of glasses which match the certain drinks. Tall for champagne, port/gin and wine glasses buy buying the drinks. Then if you feel like it top up each one from your cabin and they would never know. We usually take a glass into the dining room every night as personally we prefer our own. Then just top up buy buying as the night progresses. Aslong as your careful they wouldn't know. And as others say the prices are so reasonable it won't break the bank to enjoy there selection. :)

  2. Hi.

So going on ventura soon. Looking into the pool situation. As I can tell the oasis/endless pool is the adult only one. What I'm interested in knowing is, do you have to pay for this one I can tell from deck plans that the retreat is above and I know that is payable so thought I'd check.

Q1: Do you have to pay for use of that pool??

Q2: If no cost for the pool is there loungers around that can be used?

    Thanks for the help :)

  3. Hi everyone. Been watching the conversations closely. And as I see it's persuaded more than one of you also. Likewise I think I'll take the plunge but being new to the share game. A couple of queries you lot could potentially help with?? First of all torn between halifax and HL seem worthy enough but to check neither of them charge a fee to look after the shares if I'm reading correctly once you pay the upfront cost is that it?? Secondly it comes up with two options carnival Corp and carnival plc one showing dollar and other in pence I assume. Does it matter which one? I appreciate any help.

  4. Hello all.

Just wondering if anyone knows roughly around how many days before you set sail, can you view the cruise personaliser to book excursions and speciality resteraunts??

It's currently 137 days before we leave and still no access, so just eager I know but if anyone has a rough idea I'd appreciate it. Much thanks in advance. :)

  5. Hello.

Couple of things I'd like answers to if anyone could help. Just booked the ventura for easter next year to the canaries. But never booked a cruise which is in the school holidays before.

Firstly will there be alot more children than usual and do they usually cause more trouble if so than say a cruise outside the school holidays??

Secondly does the ventura have an adults only pool besides the one you have to pay for??

Does ventura have a dedicated cinema or is it in the theater couldn't quite work that out?

Couldn't find information on these matters so sorry if it's been asked recently. Any info is appreciated greatly though.

    Regards :)

  6. When did so many people start disliking breasts. 😕 it's the 21st century for goodness sake where free will is allowed. Some people need to realise we are not still in the victorian era, everyone is each to there own and if something bothers you so much just turn a blind eye. No harm is actually being done so what's the big fuss. 😆

  7. Hello more pre cruise questions.

I'm curious to know if anyone has used the sauna and steam facilities during a 4 night cruise and wether it is heavily used. On longer cruises we always seem to be fine but I'm just curious if it's alot busier on these shorter cruises??

If so because I can't seem to find info on this. Is it open on embarkation day?? And what are the opening times on a normal day?

    Thanks for any help :)

  8. We've been on a table of 6 before and must admit after getting to know them which does take more than one sitting 2 I'd say as a minimum we had an excellent evening then on.

We always have plenty of family so have bigger tables anyway but when we are on our own we do prefer having a table for two. Not because it isn't nice having conversation with others but sometimes it's nice for us to spend time relaxing together. Normally in the day time you do interact with others wether u go out you way or not because most people are just so friendly.

I think from what others have already said the demand for tables of 2 and others should be met. It would make everyone happy to be able to have there own choice and not forced into a situation they are uncomfortable with.

We all have different tastes and some do want to eat more or less so depending on how they feel should choose accordingly to where they want to be. As long as you enjoy your holiday that's the most important thing.

Inside to suite we are all on board sharing a common interest and should personally all be treat equal and have a brilliant time regardless. As we all know there's ships that cater for those willing to get more benifits out of higher graded cabins.

The main reason we have sailed with P&O for such a long time is because we always felt that there was no class or special benifits for other and feeling equal to others we feel is important and brings a sense of were all here to share the same experience. Shame some people can't see that and feel the need to be either a snob about their cabin or just on how others act because that's not how cruising is in the 21st century.

I'd say a thank you to all who make cruising a special experience and just make everyone feel welcome. :)

  9. Thanks for the quick reply much appreciated.

That's really good news makes me alot more relaxed about searching for a nice fitting jacket haha. Good to hear that the dress code isn't restricting loads of areas.

    Thanks again :)

  10. Hello

Looking for a bit of advice on certain points!! Any help much appreciated.

It's been a couple of years since we've cruised and back then I was in better shape and in all honesty didn't attend many of any formal nights. This time around we would quite like to get dressed up again. Now the thing is I'm struggling finding a dinner jacket to actually button up and wondered if I wear a jacket but have it unbuttoned, but accompanied by a Cumberband for example would this be acceptable??

Now we honestly cant renember are ladies expected to wear black dresses or can it be other colours for example dark red say? Wasn't quite sure whether it was essential it had to be black and white for example?

Finally what areas are you not allowed into again on a formal night if ur not dressed up because I honestly can't find anything on this and just want to be sure on what you can and can't do if not dressed correctly?

Much appreciated as always for any help provided. :-)

  11. Hello.

I'm looking for advice on the bathrobes on aurora I assume they are the same on all ships just this is the one I'm planning to get one for.

My question is has anyone ever purchased one and if so are they of good quality? Thick or thin? Finally worth £30 for two?

Looking at getting them as a suprise for my OH. I have had use of one on previous cruises but this was many years ago and these where only the ones you could use while in your cabin.

Thank you for any assistance. :-)

  12. Thanks everyone really appreciate the advice.

Did go looking for the times open and it seems to be from 8 till 10pm in which case we'd already be up or still out by.

So hopefully nothing to worry about. :-)

  13. Hello.

Looking for some advice from people who may have stayed next to the laundrette before. Just been allocated cabin c264 on the aurora. Now location wise I'm really happy but it is next door to the laundrette which is concerning me!

Just want to know if anyone had an opinion on what this might be like noise wise or if it will be rather busy. Granted all sailings are different but a general idea would be kindly appreciated??

Thanks to all who can provide some insight :)
