Back to the Future Musical onboard??

That's what his hint sounds like to me, but I could be wrong.

I know that they are working on the shows for Utopia now, since Icon has launched. I think that it's much too early to be getting hints for Star.

In December he released the set list for Aqua 80's Two. He didn't say that was for Utopia, but I think it is. If Utopia got BTTF it would continue the 80's theme.

Having been a teenager in the 80's, this is really exciting to me.

Thank you for these wonderful photos! I was wondering if you could take a picture of one of the FreeStyle Daily programs page with all the events and activities listed on it. Just one will do! I am trying to figure out dinner reservations and looking at the show times as well as social gatherings! Thank you in advance if you can!

I can, but so far there hasn't been a set time for shows, 8, 8:30, and tonight there is no show. There's only been one show the last three nights. Tonight we are in port until 10 pm. This is a Transatlantic, and I've heard that we are at about 60% capacity. We have ports every day at the beginning, maybe once we hit the sea days we'll get two shows at regular times?

    Here's today's, I haven't kept the others.

I'm so sorry to hear the carpet fish are gone!  I know it sounds stupid, but I loved those little guys.

Thanks for all the pix.  She really does look beautiful, altho I always thought she did, no matter how "vintage" she may have become.

I, too, was hoping that the cabins would get some updating.  That is the one place where they need to keep up with the times, with USB hubs and the like.  I don't remember any of the cabins I had been in having a tub, but I certainly would not like one now.  We'll be on her in a short while, And I look forward to seeing her new look.

I'm missing the fish too, but my DH thinks I'm silly.

Thanks for all the photos. They can do all they want to the public spaces, but nothing screams dated like cabin interiors like that. What about the actual fake dark wood furniture, closets? Are they still there? What condition are they in?

    Thanks!

They did nothing to the cabins. We actually came in to a broken drawer. When I called reception to report it, they didn't understand what a drawer was...she thought I said door or roller. I said you pull it out and put clothes in it, and she put me on a long hold. While on hold, our room steward stopped by and said he'd already reported it, so I hung up.

  5. I've done this over 10 times in the last year and a half. It can save you a lot more than $50, it just depends on the sailing. You pay for the lowest priced cabin in a category, and move up to the highest. You can even pay the sailaway price, move up, and get to pick your cabin(sailaways are guarantees), but then you don't get the perks. Booking a sailaway inside, I've saved over $700 on a sailing (minus the perk) of what an IA was priced. Booking Obstructed Ocean View is usually a great deal, because you get both perks, and move to an OA. I've saved over $600 doing that.

The chocolate covered strawberries are just an added bonus.

  6. Ok, but just to let you know, they have to sail around Vancouver Island, because they are too big to fit through the Canadian part of the Inside Passage.

We were on the first sailing of the Bliss to Alaska in June, and a lot of people were very unhappy about this. On the smaller ships, this is some of the best scenery of the trip.

  7. I agree with the Cruise Next Certificates, but have another idea if you have some left over at the end of your sailing. As long as you've left the daily service charge on your account, you can designate nonrefundable OBC to go as additional gratuities to whomever you like. We had them give part of ours to our room steward, and part to our favorite bartenders. We just told the customer service desk the first names, and where they worked.

  8. We are booked b2b on the August 26th and September 2nd sailings. We are in the same inside cabin for both, so I'd rather not upgrade, but DH prefers a balcony. We have gotten offers for both sailings. I only bid the minimum, $75 pp/per sailing. September 2nd has very few balconies left, so I doubt that I will win that, August 26th has more, so who knows. I have bid 6 times in the past, won three of those.

  9. The escape room takes about an hour, and the comedy sets are about 45 min. You need to make reservations when you board.

Howl at the Moon usually runs from 9 pm - 1am, and is come, and go as you please.

  10. Aled has confirmed, so long as we book 4 single women between the ages of 20 and 45. Any takers?

LOL, We booked the Encore TA a month ago, but sorry, no single ladies in our group.

I'm loving all three live reviews, Thank You. We'll be on board next week.

  11. Thank you Tony! Your videos are great. I've only watched the Venice ones at the moment, but they were helpful. We are sailing out of/ into Venice in August/September and I'm trying to plan where to stay, and what to do before and after our cruise.

  12. Is the Illusionarium gone on the Getaway and replaced with Cirque Dreams? And is La Cucina covered w the dinner package? Anyone have a preference between Burn the Floor and Million Dollar Quartet?

Yes, the Illusionarium has been gone for about a year. Yes, La Cuciana is covered. We prefer Million Dollar Quartet, but why wouldn't you want to see both?
