Ok thanks Biker 19 will ask at Starbucks when on board as you say the more extravagant the coffee the more times the card might get punched !!

Ok sounds like a mini safari would be like going through a good zoo so maybe come bk sometime to do a proper safari, thanks for the help though

I am in the UK trying to get a american esta but getting to final page before payment which is verification press submit and it goes bk to same page again,just wondering anyone else had this problem and how they solved it from the UK

This happens because MSC, like a number of cruise lines, put a provisional hold on your card for the amount spent (+ daily gratuity) each day. They then put your total bill through as a final charge at the end of your cruise. What they could do is tell your card issuer to immediately release the funds held on the provisional charge. They don't do this and that's why the provisional charge is held up to 4 weeks, at which time the card issuer realises there is no confirmed transaction for the provisional charge and releases the hold.

Thanks all for advise have raised claim with credit card company as well as sending details to MSC & TA, just have to fill in credit card form send that bk and see what happens now, think I need a holiday :o

Yes paid final bill in full with cash on final day of cruise before 12.30 got receipt as well with 0 balance showing

I recently returned from a MSC cruise,I registered credit card as not sure what amount I was going to spend but didn’t spend as much as thought so paid final bill in full on final morning of cruise only to get home check credit card bill and saw I had been charged again for the same amount as already paid off,now have to wait min 28 days to get a refund which I think is a bit of a long wait,anyone else had this problem before please ?

We are planning on upgrading our drink package to the premium. I know that we have free minibar access as part of this and are curious as to whether there will be snacks for us there as well? If so, what is in there? Wouldn't want to leave the cabin for more food lol!

That would be good, you can give me the low down onthe ship. Been on her before but that was in 2011 before the extension.

It's going to be my first MSC cruise so bit unsure,have been on Costa and that was ok,but itenary is the main thing for us this time.
