We are booked for Avila Beach on our January 2023 cruise.  I'll be sure to let you know how it goes.  According to my GPS the walk is 30 minutes from the pier.  The resort responded immediately,

Frankly, the $10.00 charge for the day looks to be an amazing deal.

We are scheduled to be here on our February cruise - please let us know how it goes.  Price is so good, just hoping it's nice.  Thank you!

  2. We just park at the pier - $40 a day, easy ride through the Lincoln Tunnel, lot is right next to the ship. We love the ease of walking off of the ship, hopping in our van, and being home in less than a half hour.

What time do you suggest we get there to get a spot? I understand, lot can fill up quickly. Thank you.

  3. I'm curious on your thoughts about Mini-Suite 8134. I'm also booked in this room and booked it as I was thinking the small angled part of the balcony would be nice for viewing aft as well as viewing the fireworks. That said, I'm a little concerned that this may result in loss of balcony space and/or privacy. Any thoughts?

BTW...the bed should be by the balcony in this cabin. Looking at the deck plans if the indentation goes into the room the bed is by the balcony and if it goes out (making the middle of the room appear bigger) the bed is in the middle by the closet.

I'm on Breakaway 8134 for July 5 cruise; it's not the angled balcony, it's definitely shown as a full balcony and it's on the port side which on Breakaway means no smoke coming up from below - I believe smoking allowed outside on Starboard side. Are you sailing before or after July 5? If after, I'll definitely let you know how it is.

  4. Just booked Easter week 2016 on Celebrity Reflection with friends, and our 3 teenagers - 15, 16, 16. Teens are hoping to meet lots of others - not necessarily partake in all the teen activities, but meet others to hang around with all week in the evenings. Anyone have experience with this ship, in particular Easter Spring Break week? Thanks so much for any info.

  5. I can't decide between Reflection and Freedom of the Seas for our next cruise. We have been on Carnival, Disney(twice) and RCL (twice). We love RCL, but were thinking of trying something new with Celebrity. However, we will have our 17 year old daughter with us and I am concerned that Celebrity may not offer as much for her. She likes to relax with a good book and will enjoy the great atmosphere and food, but she also loves interacting with other teens on the ships.

The itineraries are very similar. Eastern Caribbean with 3 Sea Days and 3 days in port. This will be during a school break in March of 2014, but not at Easter, so I am not sure how many teens will be on the ship.

Has anyone gone on Celebrity with Teens? Will they like it as well as RCCL?

Not that she will complain either way!!

    Thanks!

What did you end up doing? We've booked Reflection for Easter week 2016 with 3 teenagers. Hoping they'll meet up with others and have fun.

  6. No I am in 8134 mirror image and it is a minisuite with large balcony. The cabin in question is one of the secret larger balcony cabins

    Enjoy it

I too am booked in 8134; do you happen to know where bed is located? By balcony or by bathroom? Thanks for any info you may have.
