It's a 5-10 minutes walk from the port gate to the tram stop (they call it metro). There is a ticket machine at the stop.

There is always the public shipping company, called Waxholmsbolaget, operating several modern ships and two steamships (Norrskär and Storskär).
A trip to Vaxholm takes just over an hour (one way) and costs 158 SEK return. It is not possible to book in advance. Tickets are bought on board. All ships have a cafeteria and the steamers also have a restaurant.

Has anyone travelled with Hansa Touristik (M/S Ocean Majesty)? Will you get along well on board even though you only speak a little german?
