  1. My teens were rarely alone - always in a group. They went to the club the first night, to meet kids. They did go to the club after that, but spent more time just with other teens (swimming, sports court, eating...).

That's what I'm hoping for..that she meets some kids to hang with. I don't want her to just hang with the "old people". LOL

When DD was younger I didn't mind plopping her at the Kids Club because she loved it. This cruise has been rescheduled twice, so now she's 13. Unfortunately, I didn't plan to have her bring a friend or anyone with her. It's much easier if you have 2 kids to send them off together than it is to send one child off. She's friendly so I'm hoping she meets some other kids when we get on that I can trust her with and she can hang out with them when she doesn't want to come with us. The difficult part is if we want to go to the Stardust Lounge to listen to a band and she's not really old enough to come with us.

Too bad you're on the week before us, would have been nice to know another 13 yo girl will be there. I'm sure there will be plenty. This is our first cruise and it's in July so I know kids are on vacation, I just don't know how many usually go on a cruise.

My DD sometime starts out kind of shy, but she warms up pretty quickly. I just want her to have fun and enjoy the cruise.

  2. I was looking for similar information. DD is 13 and I'm wondering what there is for her to do on-board. She liked the kids club last time we went, but she was younger. I'm a bit nervous about her wandering around the ship alone.

I feel the same way, my DD just turned 13 yesterday and I'm sure she will like the teen club, but I don't want her wandering alone on the ship either. This is our first cruise. I see that you are sailing in July. I'm wondering if it'll be the same week? We head out on July 10th
