There is some great kite flying done by the cemetery near El Morro. Sounds creepy, but it isn't. You can buy a cheap kite and head over there. OSJ is a great city for just exploring, delving into history or shopping. I'm sure you'll find something to do! :o

As others have stated, you are correct. I actually brought this up to my TA recently as we live in NY and wanted to book on the Splendor but the price for five of us was way more expensive than trekking it to Miami. Needless to say, we chose Miami on the Breeze again next April and delayed the trip rather than pay an arm and leg for the Splendor. TA says he figures that Carnival gets us because there are people who are willing to pay the extra money instead of having to fly. Would be willing to drive to Baltimore, but the prices have to come down some.

It does not.:(

Totally agree about the chocolates. Love Carnival, but if they got rid of those nasty things and put the money else where, that would be just fine!

You can also try shooting an email through the ships steakhouse. We did this and got a reply the same evening confirming. Don't eat too much before hand. You're definitely in for a treat!:)

Definitely go for the Breeze. The ship is beautiful as are all the ports you listed. We like to do our own exploring or use a local tour operator; however, we did do the Fanta-sea tour through Carnival for St. Kitts and it was a great day. There is some excellent snorkelling on the way to Nevis.

We are relatively new to cruising, but already hooked. Honestly, I knew it would happen before we ever started as the hubby and I both love the water as well as travelling. Went on the Breeze last year for our 10th anniversary and my birthday and did the same this year on the Valor. Booked the Brreze again for next April so that the kids can finally enjoy it. I must say, I am a little concerned that I may end up making addicts out of them!

We are also taking our three on their first cruise next April. They'll be 13, 12 and 11. We were on the Breeze last year and loved the experience, so we've booked to go back on with the whole crew. There is a lot to do on that ship for anyone of any age! I have no doubt they'll love it.

Ultimately, you know the answer to that question. I enjoy the 2.0, but it isn't a make or break thing for me. I was on the Valor March 1st and had a great time. We chose the ship due to the itinerary. It was so port heavy I spent most of my evenings just chilling out. It's a vacation, don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy yourself. :)
