Sailed on Breakaway May 2017 and Escape June 2018:
Biggest pluses on the Escape:
1) District Brewhouse - Excellent space with entertainment and comfortable seating, even if you are not a beer drinker. If you are a beer lover .....
2) Slightly more space by the pool with large TV screens. Was on ship during World Cup, so this was great
3) Better water element in Spice H2O, and additional hot tubs on sun deck
Biggest Pluses on Breakaway:
1) Enjoyed Rock of Ages over Escape shows.
2) Enjoyed second city vs stand up on Escape
Overall the ships are close, but preferred the Escape. Both ships are crowded, but manageable.

Sailing on the Escape next year. Can someone tell me which shows are free, what shows are extra and what is can't miss?
-
My experience at dinner was that they collect one per room
-
Last two cruises (Gem and Breakaway) we booked a balcony room and found a significant price drop about a month out. We inquired and while there was no price adjustment, both times we were offered a "free" upgrade to a mini suite.
It's worth giving them a call

On Breakaway Memorial Day week...yummy

They only allow a certain number of pre registrations. Go to the box office at the theater. Also many pre register and do not show up. We were on an above capacity ship Memorila day week, and the show was not full.
You will be fine.

Thanks! Is the wine bar covered in the UBP?

Hi all,
We have sailed on the Breakaway to Bermuda and are considering a return trip next year when the Escape comes to NY.
Can anyone comment on any significant differences between the two?
We enjoyed the Breakaway, but found the pool deck poorly laid out.
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Interesting. Where did you get these statistics?

Someone posted a Cagney's menu from 5/7 sailing. Tomahawk steak and larger Porterhouse steak not on the menu.
I may starve!

Room of choice...easy to find after an evening of enjoying the UBP!

Hi all,
Would like to walk a few miles of the rail trail. Anyone have ant suggestions for the most scenic section? How is the best way to get there and back?

Can you please share the time for the show on the first night. With a big party and trying to make dinner reservations. Will be on June 4 sailing
Thanks

I can't find any RC cruises departing from the northeast past April of 2017. Are they discontinuing?
Also what are the odds of a free drink promotion on RC?

Thanks! Have a great cruise!

Are there set times for the shows each night? Want to start thinking about specialty dining reservations. Thx

Hi Heidi,
I believe you are talking about the CruiseNext offer. If you purchase $1000 of CruiseNext deposits, they give you an immediate $500 onboard credit that you can put towards the purchase.
Please note that each deposit is for $250 and you can use only 1 per booking, and they are good for 4 years. Don't buy too many if you don't plan on multiple cruises. If you book a balcony or above, 6 months in advance, you should be able use 2.
As for advance listings, I think 12-18 months is the rule of thumb. Since they often rotate ships, it's hard to go much farther out.
Hope this helps
Bob
