Joined Onward yesterday. Boarding was somewhat delayed. Started at a little after !:00 PM. Ship is in great shape, crew is wonderful. Our OBC is not showing yet. Was told I need to wait 48 hours to see it. Be sure to bring your paperwork.
internet is really slow. Hopefully will improve. Doe paying the $7.95 a day really make any difference?

Awkward it may be but that is the procedure used by Azamara.
I embarked and disembarked at Fusina 6 weeks ago so my information is current.
The ONLY transportation to and from Fusina Is by the Port authority bus.
If you are arriving to the areas where the bus departs what is the best way to get there. We are staying at the Hilton which is on Guideca right across from the Grand Canal. We don’t mind taking a private water taxi if that is the best way.

Not sure it matters about the spa terrace access. On our recent 21 day Regatta cruise, no one checked cards or cabin numbers when going.

Today is a sea day as we sail to Sorrento tomorrow. Here on the Onward, with only five days remaining we are savoring every moment.
Just counting our Blessings that we have the means to do such a wonderful adventure.
Looking forward to our next Azamara cruise on Journey in January; back to backs around South America, Antarctica, Rio Carnival and Amazon. Miami to Miami.
Quest Montreal to Barbados Oct. 25.
Love the Azamara experience.
Thank you for your posts. We board on Sunday. Do you know who is the captain then?

Our first cruise to FP was in January. We had perfect weather no rain. No way to 100% predict.

Thank you both

I know this is an old thread. Just wondering if there is any thing new on luggage tags. We have our boarding passes but no luggage tags.

Is ITA matrix free?
-
Was there any assigned boarding times? The email I received with my boarding pass the time seems generic.
Also, does not seem anyway to do online if I wanted to.

Can a recent cruiser explain the current check in process and boarding procedure? Is it necessary to do anything on line before arriving at the port.
also, is there a way to select an arrival time or does everyone now show up at the same time?

When I log in, it tells me my level. —explorer plus It then states my past cruises are unavailable.

If I have to make a choice, I would take the sugar free Schweppes

Ending our cruise in Southampton Called in to Azamara to nook a transfer to the airport. Price was reasonable, $211.00. Thought I could use my OBC but was told it would have to be prepaid using credit card.
Any idea if I can use OBC once I board.
Also be careful many changes to my PDF of shore excursions vs. what is online. Changes in price, time and what’s included.

Here on Onward it’s just another sea day. We are currently cruising along around 16 Knots on a rather smooth Indian Ocean. We are around 250 nautical miles above the equator and hundreds of miles off the Somalia coast.
We attended our astronomer lecture and have just enjoyed a lunch at the Patio.
The weather has not been good for pool lovers with clouds and occasional showers. That has caused tonights’s dinner under the sky to be held in Windows. Only bar open tonight is Living Room but I would presume tonight’s Cabaret show of the Other Guys one will have drink options. Tonight their show is entitled Legends of Rock and Roll.
Tony Marky gave a lecture yesterday on the Pursuit’s Cruise to Nowhere which was entertaining.
We all were told up front that this would be a different cruise experience if we elected to stay onboard. For someone who needs lot’s of activities this would be hard. For us a good book and passing sea and conversations with our World Voyage family works for us.
From what we have heard total crew is down about 97 Culinary down 45.Hear they are touching up and repair work in some of the empty cabins.
That’s the way it is on the beautiful Onward. Bruce
Were people who stayed onboard offered any upgrade to their cabin?

Dubrovnik is nice, but if you have been there more than once, not much new to see. Best to get out of town either by boat or bus.

Hank
you have not mentioned much about Aquamar. It was a favorite of my wife on the trans Atlantic last fall. She liked both the food and the service.

My upcoming cruise that I want to shift from is Nov. 3. Was told I have 11 days to do it. So only 6 months..

Update
‘According to Oceania, I can cancel and receive the full $500 refund, no penalty. If I roll over to a new cruise I will lose O life and get Simply More.

Booked a cruise more than a year ago. I am approaching 6 months before the cruise. What do I lose if I cancel? I understand there is now a cancellation penalty but this was booked before that went into effect.
Also, I did not take any OBC for the cruise I was on.

Are you doing a private transfer or relying on Azamara?
-
Can any of the above detail their experiences last year with the transfer to Fusina.
Did Azamara still provide check in times or was it an open scramble?
-
Is 8004 under the gym? Also, 8052 and 8054 might have noise from rolling carts.

Does the Regatta still have a place to leave books for others in the library? I'm boarding on Saturday and wondered if I could leave my finished ones and pick up another one. Thanks!
A very small section with very old books. One cabinet to the left as you enter from Toscana.

On our recent Regatta cruise, the fridge had caffeine free Coke Zero and diet tonic for all 21 days. Put in the request about a month before.

Anybody onboard currently?

Still debating if it is worth it. We are port intensive and ashore I have an ATT plan at $10 a day with a max of $100 for billing cycle.
