Hi- how is the cruise going? Any advice on which paid excursions are worthwhile, any not running (i.e. jetboats in hells canyon)? Any food onboard advice? We will be no your same cruise in weeks! Looking forward to it- except the checkin process sounds awful- hopefully just a glitch since they've been closed for so long.

We are looking to book for early September for the Grand New England tour, so Ron- your post will be wonderful to read shortly! Anyone have any advice on the following: video tours of the ship, bacony vs is it really beneficial?, will the foliage start turning in sept? anyones guess, how did ada accomodations seem as far as dining common areas for a walker (sadly I use one at age 46), any and all suggestions welcomed! We are happy to return the favor on advice as we live in St. Augustine, Florida :)

We rented a lido cabana on the Eurodam and would not do so again. The furnishings were fine-- a daybed type lounger for two, two chairs and a table.
The worst part was that there was a speaker on ceiling that blared music for the entire day. I complained and it was turned down a bit, but I fail to see how one could enjoy the ipod music if other music is playing in the cabana. The service was ok- nothing special. I am not fond of cheap champagne, and the fruit offerings were also available in the lido. The big plus was having a guaranteed lounger in the pool area.
Verandas, OTOH, are wonderful-- we spend far more time on the veranda than we would ever spend in the cabana. So, if you have a veranda, I would not spring for the cabana.
Do you recall the number or name or at least exact locationof your cabana, so we can avoid it with that speaker?

Much less. It's just 2 decks down, by elevator or stairs. The Retreat cabanas overlook the roof of the Lido pool.
CLICK HERE for an info sheet about both types of cabanas.
This was extremely helpful- thank you! I do wonder though, whether the retreat is open for alaskan cruises on eurodam and since we are not getting a balcony the lido cabana migt be a good compromise knowing the cost. Thank you for the attachment!!!!!
