My husband and I are sailing on the Jade Sept 12,2019 - Med cruise.

I have read that Santorini  / Mykonos are tendered ports - are any other ports on this cruise tendered ??

I am sure that I read that on a Med cruise NCL Jade they use US currency .

Is this true ????/

We have done  several trips to a least 10  south Caribbean islands for extented weeks at a time) islands and European countries ... but only 3 cruises. ( Celebrity/ RCL)

We have booked NCL for a 10 night cruise  for Greece and Italy/Malta as I always wanted to see Greece.

Been to Italy for 3 weeks and also Spain for 2 days .

OK -- Here is my issue

I would also love  to see Portugal and I know that this is our LAST trip to Europe due to my husbands health

Should we do Portugal/Spain   or Greece/Italy cruise

I understand that this is a personal issue but.. would you rather see Portugal or Greece ???as your last vaca to Europe ???

IMO !!!!!

I just feel that ripped jeans are great/ ok for breakfast/lunch.

I know they are expensive as we have purchased them for our married children for Christmas gifts ... but they DO NOT wear them to work or out for fine dining--- to clubs and partying --- yes!!

For dinner --- dress to show respect for the restaurant and the employees/cook

Not fancy ... but appropriate for diner

I just do not understand WHY as parents you would not want your children to learn and understand appropriate attire.

That style of FASHION is Ok in a night club or a bar - I agree

Should we not be teaching our children to dress for the occassion

There is a place and time for evrything !!!!!

If the casinos are NOT open - stay on the island and visit the MANY casinos there !!!

All the large resorts/hotels have them and the ALHAMBRA casino is huge ( for an island)

Just my opinion ... but.. you are eating at a very nice dining room - why not dress for it.

I have married children that own very expensive "mildly ripped " jeans but when they go to work or out for a fine dining dinner, they do not wear them.

If the cruise line allows it - go for it !!

It just saddens me when you are eating in a spec. restaurant and people wear that type of attire.

To each their own .... and as I said it is just my opinion.

We are going on NCL Jade in July 2019.

We have been on Celebrity and RCL before but never NCL JADE

I found the aft facing balcony on Royal Car. - wonderful , but on Celebrity there was not enough coverage from the sun.

It was BRUTAL all day - even breakfast as we love to order it to our room to enjoy on the balcony

Anyone that has been in an aft facing cabin - could you let me know your experiences about all of the cabin ??

My husband and I LOVE having breakfast on the veranda ( aft )and dinner has been great in MDR

We love fine dining back home and have no issues with the meals or staff in the MDR.

Lunches have been mostly on island stops but this cruise has alot of seadays ... so... we will be looking into different place for lunch

Looking forward to this cruise as an adventuer as EVERY cruise/island trip/tour is !!!!!

Travelling is an adventure - ENJOY the good and the BAD

Find a great bartender and have fun if all else fails !!!!!

On the classic pkg ( which is what we have this time - July23-30) you can get a discount on bottles of wine... but cannot purchase them free from your pkg.

We are in an Aft ( always prefer these cabins) on the 8 th floor

Would love one upper.. but not available

the bar - we love having fun with bartenders and people

We have booked 8344 on 8 th floor .

They are UNobstructed.

By looking at the pic of aft section of ship - they are all CLEAR view

My sangria is NOT sweet-- need to check this out !! (red or white)

My husband and I ( VERY young 60's) have cruised 1 time

-- loved it

We have travelled most islands in the Caribbean and Cabo in Mexico /Europe / U.S./ All of Canada as we are Canadian)

We are cruising on celebrity equinox this time ( July 2017)- We have cruised one time before )(RCL) loved it

We have been to Puerto Rico for 2 trips of 12 days each time - love it there !!!

Been to St Maarten also

Been to St Thomas also - lovely island

Any suggestions

Puerto Rico is 3:30- 11 pm so maybe a quaint dinner place would be great !!

There is one row diagonnally that is larger due to a storage closet for workers in hallway

The cabins are NOT larger but the balcony is.

How about the AFT cabins on the Equinox

Certain ones are larger

My agent booked a certain AFT cabin but I looked at a pic of the AFT and found that one cabin on each floor was wider. we always take an AFT cabin for that reason and the amazing view !!.

Ours is cabin 8344 and if you have a pic of the aft of the ship you can see a difference in the balcony size as there is a maintenance closet on the inside of the ship which allows for a larger balcony ( no extra in room)
