  1. I believe you can buy on on embarkation day only and maybe the second day, but it will be the same price regardless. You don’t get a better deal by buying half way through. Also if you buy the day you get on the ship, it will be more expensive in the sense that you will have to pay 15% gratuity on top of the price of the package. If you buy before you sail, you save the 15%.

  2. If you add the drinks on us promotion to an existing booking that hasn't had final payment yet, does MSC issue you a new booking number?

I had to “rebook” my cruise and I was given a new booking number but my cabin and experience level stayed the same. Some have said they’re booking number didn’t change. So I guess it just depends on what they need to do with your original booking.

  3. I would do it now incase they discontinue the promotion. You have to call in but you don’t have to pay for it till final payment.

Sorry don’t mean to hijack your response. When I called in, the MSC rep told me that the cost of the package was due now. I’m not sure if it’s because the package is none refundable or what not (doesn’t matter, because I won’t hanged my mind anyways) but the final payment date was still the same. I don’t know if they is what other people had to do as well but I hope this helps.

  4. I called yesterday and made this change for 3 cabins. For the two cabins for my family (both interior Fantastica), it actually reduced our total cost by about $50 per room. For my parents cabin (Fantastica Balcony S1), it upped the price by about $100 total, which is worth it! I plan to upgrade us all to the classic package before the cruise. At $18 per day, that is a steal! I'm thrilled with this new addition!

We upgraded to the classic as well and I’m seriously pondering the deluxe...do I really need unlimited gelato, rooms service, crepes?? I think I am so far beyond “need” at this point lol. I’m glad it worked out so well for your crew!

  5. No poker tables. There is Ultimate Texas hold em and 3 card poker tables. Black Jack and roulette.

Thanks for letting me know, guess I’ll have to call and cancel now ;) lol jk the hubs will just have to suck it up and go play black jack or something ;)

  6. I'm assuming you are referring to the Seaside. Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm curious also. I'm already upset that they decided not to put in a Craps table. If the poker table is gone also, I might have to skip the casino.

Yes sorry I am referring to the seaside. Hubby went on a 5 min rant about not having a proper poker table and how this is not right if they want to appeal to the North American market lol.

I’m not laughing at you guys, what’s important to a person changes for everyone, he just poked fun at me when I was a bit disappointed when I learned there was no smoked salmon in the buffet. lol

  7. Hi everyone I tried looking for the answer to this question but for the life of me I can’t seem to find a clear answer.

This is really starting to rattle the hubby. Lol is there a “real” poker table? Not the ones where it is electronic with the screens, but a table where they play with person dealing out real physical cards. I know seems like such a weird question, but apparently this really matters to him.

    Thank you in advance everyone!

  8. I just took the leap and upgraded to the all inclusive CLASSIC package. It’s great because now the gratuity is included in the 18 dollars per day, I get a bit more flexibility with my drink choices and I didn’t have to pay the 18 dollars a day for my child (will only be 3 at the time of sailing). This was a great in-between option from the basic and deluxe choices.

Oh and this note it only took about 45 mins vs over and hour the first time to add the basic drinks on us package lol

  9. I’m an seriously debating on the option of upgrading to the classic package for $18/pp per day!

I’m trying to be realistic with just how much gelato, boozy coffee and fru fru cocktails I will/should realistic consume in a weeks time lol

I need help everyone!! Please help, either talk me off the ledge or push me over! Lol jk

  10. Thankyou Thank you...looks like we would be perfectly happy with an upgrade to the classic package!

That’s awesome! I’m glad it works to your benefit! I know it’s only a promo until next winter (so they say in their website) but I hope they keep it. I’m normally a princess cruises fan and I will always be. But with having my little one being free and these drink perks.....it’s kind of a no brainer!

  11. How much is the service charge? I’m seeing different numbers here. Sounds like what NCL does, you pay 90-100pp for gratuities up front.

You just pay the service charge which I believe is 15% of the cost of the drink you’re eligible to get.

    I hope this helps.

  12. Ok so I’m not really understanding... I have sailed with Msc twice before. Was on seaside last month so I’m familiar with the different experiences. So they are offering this new drink package with Bella and fantastic new bookings. So what is the difference between the 2 now other than the new drinks on us package. Is there any incentive to book the fantastic which we normally book because it looks like you will not longer get the 12 coupons with the fantastic or a onboard credit As it looks right now Bella is cheaper so why book fantastic if you getting the same thing. I’m I missing something here ? Getting ready to book my next cruise :)

I believe that all the other things that come with booking fantastica are the same.

I’ve attached 2 photos of he chart to see the differences. I hope this helps answer your question.

  13. KruiseKween, thank you so much for sharing this drink information ! It answers so many questions about what each package offers.

No problem! I just want everyone to get the most for their money and have the best vacation possible (not that one needs alcohol for that - but it doesn’t hurt lol)

Now I just need someone to report back to confirm what the wine selection available to us is. I’m a prosecco/white wine gal myself, and the thought of being able to have a mimosa every morning and a spritzer in the afternoon when I’m by the pool is making me giddy lol [emoji41]

  14. Ive been trying to-research but still dont see what the difference between the delux and the classic all inclusive is. MSC website says that the classic doesnt include “premium” drinks but I am unsure what that means. As long as I could get frozen drinks, coffee drinks, and gelato/milkshakes then Im happy..If premium means Grey Goose rather then seagrams..that is not a consideration for me, I am happy with Seagrams for instance.

  15. Thank you! Today they added the drinks on us promo for $40 additional on our 10 day cruise for 2. Pretty pumped! Still deciding on the $26 per day upgrade but have 8 months to figure that out!!!! Thanks.

That’s so fantastic! We are trying to figure out if we want to upgrade as well. But like you guys we have 6 months to figure that out. Will I eat 26 dollars worth of gelato everyday? Or the better question is SHOULD I lol

Happy sailing, I’m glad it worked to your advantage [emoji2]

  16. My cruise price came back down today and it was only now $34 more for a balcony room than what I originally paid so I called my TA and had him re-book me with the Drinks On Us package and it only cost me $78 more for the 2 of us. This WAS a good deal!

That’s amazing!! It was only 58 more for us! I am so happy that it works in your favour!! Next round’s on me [emoji6] lol have a great cruise!

  17. After some consideration Pam and I have decided to go with the new Drinks on Us promo combined with a downgrade to Bella in place of our prior Fantastica cabin for our September sailing.

The only reason we had originally chosen Fantastica was for the drink vouchers so switching to Bella made sense since the vouchers are nullified by the new “Drinks on Us” promo.

We did have to pay a nominal amount more for the Bella cabin under the new promo compared to the previous Fantastica. We also then added the $26/pp/day Deluxe beverage upgrade to this.

Based on our original plans to add the dinner wine package and the water package to our original booking it was only a couple hundred more to just go with the new Drinks on Us promo with the Deluxe upgrade. This will allow us to try the gelato and specialty coffee as well.

Plus apparently the the Deluxe package the gratuities are included in the price and not charged extra per drink like the “Drinks on Us”.

So many thanks go out to Kruise Kween for giving us the heads up about this new promotion!

P.S. The MSC cruise consultant said that the supply of Bella cabins in our category for our sailing was very limited therefore it was very likely in his opinion that we would be getting a one category upgrade as well!

Wow! That would be amazing if you did. I’m glad you and Pam decided to take the plunge and get the package and that it ended up working out in your favour.

I’m just happy that I was able to spread the news and maybe help some people’s cruise be that much more enjoyable by not having to worry about the final invoice, because I know that is almost always in the back of my mind.

Enjoy your cruise guys and Cheers! [emoji2]

  18. Hi,

Just wondering about the 12 drinks vouchers-are they automatically included with the Fantastica Experience or only if booked on a promotion? We’re booked for a few weeks and no mention of drinks vouchers in our booking?

    Thanks in advance.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Yes they are, or at least they have always been. I don’t know if they will going forward. Maybe they are trying to go away from the vouchers in the future, and that’s why they are doing this promo now. When I went on the divina last year we went to pick ours up at the casino once we boarded.
