  1. I didn't mean to start an argument here about FTTF itself, I just wanted to see if a FTTF e-mail is common practice when it is sold out.

I get the idea of Carnival trying to make people aware of it, but maybe their marketing dept. should look into a way to send the e-mail only if it is actually available.

Again - I'm not mad. I'll be on the ship soon enough!

  2. I'm heading on Splendor in a few weeks (San Juan to NYC) and I've been trying for the past 6 months to purchase a faster to the fun pass. They have been sold out since the time I booked. You could imagine the excitement when I received an e-mail in my inbox "Get on board faster - and get on with the fun!"

I immediately opened, and saw it explained all about the FTTF process and it was $10 cheaper than listed online, I clicked it and found that it was STILL sold out. I called the Carnival Customer Service number... Sold out.

I assume these are automatic e-mails sent by carnival to upsell you? Or did I happen to miss an opening in such a quick timeframe?

I'm not mad, just feel like I've been teased! :p
