I know the Celebrity Reflection is due for their Revolution sometime in/by 2023.  Going through the Reflection sailing schedule, I noticed a two week gap with no sailing listed between October 17-31, 2022.  Besides that gap, there are no other breaks in sailing through mid 2024 when there are no other sailings currently listed.  Is it mostly safe to assume that is when it will get its Revolution done?  I only ask as we are booked in a Royal Suite next March and was hoping the Retreat Sundeck would be done by the time we sail.  Any thoughts on likelihood?

Headed to a Celebrity European cruise next month. Was looking at our cruise packet from Celebrity where the included gratuities and drink packages were listed. However, our Celebrity OBC was not listed anywhere. When I booked, our Costco travel agent told me we would get $300 from Celebrity. Called Celebrity and they said they have our OBC listed on their end but for $200. I have Costco's confirmation packet showing $300 from Celebrity plus the Costco OBC. Hmmmmmm . . . Do I do anything now or just wait and see what happens on the cruise? If I only get $200 from Celebrity, I guess I could complain to Costco. What would you do?

Admittedly, my reference point on cruises has mostly been with Disney. They have a fairly straightforward policy for upgrades at the port. There is a sheet with your booked cabin and it shows all the different charges to upgrade at the port to a better cabin.

Does Celebrity do anything like that at the Port? Or, do they offer upgrades a few days before sailing. Just wondering what process Celebrity uses to fill the nicer cabins if they are still unsold nearing departure.

Yes, just looking for something or somethings that are reasonable purchases. My daughter is thinking a Michael Kors bag. I am wondering if they have something like Ferragamo ties on board. Stuck paying retail at home anyway, so something like a $180 Ferragamo tie makes sense to me.

Well, $600 is from Celebrity and $600 is from TA. So, I suspect the best I could expect is only getting maybe $200 back from the TA if we spend around $400 (guessing Celebrity will keep their $600). So, I would rather find a way to spend $800 on the ship rather than maybe get $200 back from our TA.

I know this will seem like an odd question with too many variables at play, but between our two staterooms booked and our anticipated spending on excursions/dining/spa, I would estimate our family will have probably $800 or so of onboard credit to "dispose" of before the cruise ends. We are on the Equinox in July going from Barcelona to Athens.

Perhaps the best way to phrase the question is what items did you buy on the ship that you thought were a good purchase?

I already have a bunch of watches much nicer than anything on the ship. My wife does not want any more jewelry, and ship prices are never a great bargain for those items. We don't smoke. We might enjoy a nice bottle of alcohol, but dragging a $40 bottle of vodka back to the US does not seem a good move (guessing a $500 bottle of some wildly high end product might make more sense).

Anyway, any suggestions?

I was slightly unclear about one thing. We booked a cruise for May and we received "classic beverage" packages from Celebrity as a perk of booking. Will some 18% gratuity be added to our shipboard account based on the $49 daily value or does "free" mean free?

We dropped of our luggage and went exploring. However you will still be carrying money and credit cards etc so be very careful especially if you walk up Las Ramblas , but you need to alert all the time, because of pick pockets. Barcelona is a magnificent city but like most big tourist areas they have more than their share criminals.

Do you remember how early you were allowed into the port to drop off your baggage?

Our flight arrives around 8 am. How early can we arrive at the port and check in? Can we leave our luggage there and explore Barcelona? We have only done Disney cruises where the seems to be more structure like a listed port arrival time. Celebrity has not told us much.

I presume our cabin will not be ready until early afternoon. However, do people drop off their luggage usually and have it arrive in their cabin? Again, if so, how early can we drop off our luggage and check in?
