Booked our first River cruise from Budapest to Passau in Dec 2019. Deciding if 2 days extra in Budapest or 3 days in Prague of neither. Would love some advice and suggestions on previous experiences. Thank you in advance

We did SPB Tours last September and they were awesome. Olga was the guide and couldn't ask for nicer and educated guide. Took us everywhere we wanted to go including a subway ride.

I'm really surprised that you found it demanding and Viking didn't inform you of that. We did the Viking Homelands Cruise and the paperwork we got on the excursions were very detailed in the fact of demanding or not. Even with the details we received, we had a tour that very clearing said demanding and there were people on it that couldn't keep up. I think some people may not do enough research or read the information thoroughly. Personally we didn't have any problems with any of the tours we did with Viking.

We were on the Star in September and I completely agree. I have been on other cruise lines and Viking beat them on the beauty of the ship and the professional staff. I got so spoiled that Viking is who we will use in future. Waiting for the schedules to come out for 2020.

We were just on the Viking Homelands and we purchased the silver spirits package and definitely got our money's worth. I wouldn't go on a cruise without it.

We did our own flight. The cruise line wanted $1000 per person and I found it $650 per person with Icelandair.

Hello, going on Viking Homelands this Sunday Sept 4th and was wondering about room service. According to Viking you can order room service 24 hours a day and can order anything from all the restaurants. Just wondering if that is true. Thank you

Going on the Homelands cruise in few weeks and just wondering how busy is the laundry room during the cruise? Did you have to wait to get a machine.? Thanks in advance

We did a day trip by train from kings cross and had enough time to do the castle. We got the hop on hop off bus at top of hill by train station and got off at castle. Spent several hours at castle. Was there for the 1 o'clock gun. Got to walk the royal mile and had plenty of time for shopping and meal. You will love Edinburg. That was my favorite city. Enjoy

For the tours though Viking, what currencies did the guides perfer?

Hello, our cruise isn't until Sept but was wondering how did you tip the personal on the Star? What currencies did you give them? What percentage did seem fair? Just trying to get money in order. Thanks.

Want to do the Vasa museum and royal palace. Plus interested in hop on hop off bus and boat. Don't know how this hop on hop off bus/boat compares with other companies
