  1. Not at all. My real issue is that passengers without MTD are able to adjust their gratuities if warranted. MTD passengers cannot. Not very equitable. FYI: I am not assuming that I will have substandard service. Cruise lines generally go above and beyond in the customer service area. Also, I understand the replies re: kids' service, but that is not my issue (aside from the fact that we will not leave ANY diapers in a small stateroom -- self explanatory). It just isn't right that the MTD passengers do not have the right to adjust gratuities, if necessary, while non-MTD can. That is essentially my beef.

    Totally agree with you.

  2. I think they should only pay what they can afford . Its their holiday and it should not be spoilt now on worrying about how much to tip.Cancel at GR and and pay what they can at end of cruise. Enjoy your cruise and i hope things improve for them.

Totally agree with your sentiments. Tell them to enjoy there holiday and just tip what they feel they can afford.

By tHe way they do not i repeat do not have to give a reason or an explanation at Guest Services for the gratuities to be removed. A polite request is all that is required. Once this has been done they can then tip accordingly with cash at the end of the cruise.
