Thought it would be fun to share some of the photos from our honeymoon cruise on the Ecstasy in October 1995.  My DH and I (yes, we are still going strong after 26 years) are booked on the Sept 26th cruise out of Mobile.  When I learned that the Ecstasy was being retired this year, we had to go for our 27th anniversary. 

I picked the photos taken in areas that have been since remodeled.  Such as the main pool, the aft pool, and the Stripes discotheque.  Remember the the ice sculpture demonstrations and the Video Diary Team?   (We did not purchase the video because it was $40, and we didn't have that kind of money to burn in those days.  Funny story: this was our first cruise ever, so we didn’t know what we were doing.  When we found the pictures the ship crew took of us in the photo gallery, we just grabbed them and walked away only to be flagged down and told you had to pay for them.  Awkward!).  The deck overlooking the aft pool around the whale tail where kids (of all ages) now go to board the waterslides, was a topless sunbathing deck!  No, I did not take part.  In fact, the deck was unoccupied, and we did not see the sign until we walked back down.  Wish I would have taken a photo of it, but in those days, we weren’t snapping pics of everything we see like we do with our phones today.  But we had a blast, or to inject a little 90s slang, you could say that it was da bomb!

Last month I booked a trip on the Celebration for Oct 2023.  On my phone, I entered that booking number to the Carnival Hubb app (556 days, 21 hours, 27 mins to go!).  Last night I booked a cruise on Ecstasy for September of this year.  Since our Ecstasy cruise is coming up first, does anyone know how I can add that booking to the app?  I can't find an option to add another booking.  Any help would be appreciated, thank you!!

The itinerary for our Oct 3 cruise on the Glory changed to:  Cozumel, Belize, Montego Bay.  Always wanted to go to Belize, so I am happy about this change.

My parents were once in an a deck 6 aft extended balcony on the Magic.  One evening they were sitting out on the balcony when a fairly large splash of water came down from above.  At first they thought, how rude!  But later realized that it most likely came from an overzealous worker squeegeeing the water off the lido pool deck above.  Gross!🤮

My parents were once in an aft-extended balcony on the Magic (Deck 6).   One evening sitting out on their balcony, my mother was doused by water from above.  At first she thought that some rude passenger overhead had thrown it.  But later realized that it probably came from a worker vigorously squeegeeing water off the rear lido pool deck!  🤮
