There are none through the ship. It's all cave tubing and zip lining and snorkeling.

Can cruisers take the Radical Catamaran from Mahogany Bay? Also?? Is it a catamaran??? Or a sail??

Has anyone taken this excursion? The pictures on the Carnival site look like there is no shade and like it's a smaller catamaran. Are there nets in the front to ride on or lay in the sun?? Is there shade??

Has anyone done this excursion?? How many zips are there?? How many actually in the cave?? How many outside the cave?? Is there a repel?? I'm assuming it takes an hour and 15 minutes to get there. Is this excursion worth the time and money. We have zipped many times,,,,,but interested in the cave. The ONE picture looks awesome. Is that the one and only highlight of the whole excursion?? Thanks for the info.

Is saving a few extra dollars worth worrying about it from now until your cruise???

 

Book a safer flight with time to spare for weather and mechanical delays.....because they DO happen on ALL airlines at ALL airports. Just some more than others. :o

I'm emailing him and he answers quickly but with his broken English it's tough to know what you'll actually be doing on which tour.

 

I want to do salt mines, slave huts, flamingos, shopping, beach and Twizy. I think I'd need to do the van and Twizy Tour to get to everything.

Did Pasta Bella serve dinners?? I understand if they're served you pay a minimal fee. I read somewhere, they serve lunch on sea days, but not dinners??

I was thinking just riding street car from beginning through cemeteries back to where we got on. Is that safe??? Can we see anything interesting on that route??? Would that be safe??? Should I just abandon that plan.

We'd never do an interior....We use the balcony way too much...but, we don't really drink and we don't gamble.

 

BUT....We LOVE the Breeze. Best ship ever....so I'd take any room on that ship.

We're booked at Hotel Monteleone. Not through Priceline though. We're paying $226+. Tell me why it's your favorite and where you like to eat around there and what you like to do around the Hotel Monteleone. Thank you.

LOL. Yup. Street car. And I know the French Market is approximately 5 blocks of shopping and various food vendors. I think I can get the street car on Canal Street and travel toward the river, change street cars and head to the French Market. ????

 

I have read, and you have confirmed, the rooms are very small. I reserved a traditional king room, which the description says king bed??? It's only for one night, my husband and me, pre-cruise, so the size won't matter.

Off topic here...but...I see you're planning a couple cruises on the Sunshine. I'll be curious to hear what you think with all your cruising experience. So many people complaining about public space (especially outside space) vs. people is not good. Too many extra cabins added for the size of the ship.


Back on topic.....We're booked for the 11-day Dream with all the throw backs. Can't wait.

Wow!! SJCruiser....I've NEVER had that much availability in the Serenity area...ever. Was the ship sold out or sold to capacity??

If you have another ship in mind I would reconsider.

In reading reviews....they seem to be mixed....if we get the aft wrap, we can sun bathe there, walk up one floor for lunch and two floors up to do the water park to cool off......that might be a plan????

Again......this is not a "smoking or non-smoking" post.....:(

 

I guess if we take this cruise, we'll book the aft wrap....then we won't have to worry about deck space. Now the next question....Are the lines long at the Lido buffet when NOT at prime time???

So everyone seems to agree, if you want a chair ANYWHERE on the Sunshine, you have to grab it at 10:00 AM.
