I'm so confused about the 3-day AMA Waterways Prague extension gratuity for the Cruise Director. Can that be added to shipboard account, or do I pay it directly to the Cruise Manager at the end of the extension? Lastly, for this gratuity are US Dollars acceptable? Thanks

Thanks, we are doing the three day Prague extension prior to the cruise.

Sorry should have been more specific. We are going from Nuremburg to Budapest in early December. Was just trying to see if we are sailing or bussing. It's a fiftieth wedding anniversary cruise.

Pfelling gauge at 255cm. What does it need to be at for the AMASonata to sail all the way ?

Just trying to be prepared for any emergency. Does the AMA Sonata have a telephone number that can be called from the States? Also does AMA allow WIFI calling on their onboard network?
-
We are going on the Sonata for a Christmas Markets Cruise in December. DW has food issues, so we wanted to see the menus if possible. Thanks for any help.

With all due respect, it has to do with getting the ships out of the way of potential Atlantic storm events. Not COVID as they have already been ported in effected areas. How can you complain about coordinating efforts when protests are allowed but not worship services. It’s best to clean one’s house first before worrying about you neighbor.
-
Please reread the subject of this string. You don’t know why the ships are relocating. Do a simple “I don’t know “ would have been fine not a sermon on COVID.

I give. You win. It’s just to difficult for people to stay on cruise subjects.

Not really. Just pointing out data driven facts without placing blame on any particular political figure(s).
Really, "Lack of serious/unified", "misguided" and "lunacy". Hate to see what placing blame would be. I guess sticking to cruising subjects is too difficult.

Except for Regatta, whose usual autumn/winter itineraries are Pacific Rim (starting with Alaska) and who recently headed down to is SoCal from SFO/OAK, all other Oceania ships are "getting out of Dodge" thanks in part to the ever-increasing lack of a serious/unified national US plan to deal with Covid-19 (made even worse by the misguided folks who think not wearing a mask is a political statement).
Even Riviera (heading to Gibraltar), who would normally do Miami runs late in the year apparently needs to escape the Covid lunacy there.
I'll spare the finger-pointing since we don't need/want a discussion of politicians.
Oops, too late.

This sounds appropriate for the future of cruising until a proven vaccine is widely available. It also sounds really depressing to consider spending the amount of money a cruise costs to cruise in a modified hospital ward to places that may or may not want you.
As they say, as for me and my family, we will pass.

What sailing?

Was wondering what the library is like. Are there many books and varieties? All comments appreciated.

What color are the full suites? Just curious. Thanks
-
Is there a cost to hook up to the ship WiFi?
-
New to Princess, what are the different cruise card colors and their meaning. Is room type a factor? Thanks
-
DW has to eat gluten free along with some other restrictions. Called Princess and told then the issues. They put the restrictions in our record. Also told us to talk to the maître d' and they would be glad to assist.

I fought my DW on taking the Hawaii cruise this October from Vancouver because I love the Rivera, its food and butlers. Smaller ship as well.
I guess we will see.

Thanks all.

Up to the Captain and cruise line. Seems like all the boats are stuck somewhere.
