great review! We sail on the Breeze for our first cruise next month!

Does anyone happen to have a copy of the menu for Doctor's Cave Beach? It is nowhere to be found online. We are going there for one of the stops on our Carnival excursion and need to know if Doctor's Cave has anything on the menu that will work for a couple of people with dietary restrictions.
Thanks!

Wow, great review! We are going on our FIRST cruise on the Breeze 11/15/15. I've been so nervous/anxious not knowing what to expect from the hotel, to Bayside, to embarkation, to the ship itself. I'm a very visual person and your photos are already helping me relax, now that I know what to expect! I'm so excited to read the rest!

Hi! Does anyone have any recommendations for places to eat near the port in Montego Bay? Our plan for now is to check out the "hipstrip" and Drs. Cave Beach. Is there restaurants within walking distance to either of these? TIA

Hi!
We are going on our first cruise and one of our stops is Montego Bay. Is there a good public beach close to the port? We are already doing excursions at each of our other ports so we are not interested in doing one in Jamaica. When we get off the ship is there somewhere we can grab lunch and then just lie on the beach? I have no idea what to expect and haven't read very many positive things about Jamaica.

Has anyone used the tri-rail to get from FLL to MIA? We will probably fly into FLL since it's cheaper. We will then go on to Miami to stay the night before leaving on our cruise. It looks like the tri-rail is reasonably priced and fairly quick (less than an hour). From MIA, we would take a taxi/uber/shuttle/whatever to our hotel. Has anyone done this or can anyone offer any insight? TIA! :)

I asked a similar question last week and had the same concerns. I was debating between a balcony room port side right near the elevators and atrium vs. a balcony room starboard side closer to the pool. After getting advice here, I went with the room closest to the pool. We've never cruised before, but I was told the sound in the atrium carries and the elevators go pretty much non-stop. I don't think there's really a BAD room, but that was the deciding factor for us.

A fellow Nebraskan?!?!?!? Enjoy your cruise. I can't answer your question I was just excited to see someone from around here.
Where are you from sprint180? We live in Omaha!

Okay, I'll look at all of those suggestions and also check out the home port section. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I just booked our FIRST cruise on the breeze, 11/15-11/21. I am so overwhelmed trying to figure out the best place to fly into (FLL vs. MIA), where to stay, etc. We are coming from Omaha. Does anyone have any advice? I'm open to either airport, and we will be flying down the day before just in case there's weather issues, etc. If we stay in FLL, is there public transportation or a shuttle that can get us to MIA on 11/15? I've done so much research, but this is stumping me.

yes, very good point JDCML. I am such an over-analyzer/over-planner so sometimes it's hard for me to just make a decision without over thinking it too much. I'm sure we will have a blast no matter what room we pick, so maybe I just need to pull one out of a hat and call it good :)

Deck 9 has #9239. It looks like it's close to the stairs so we could still get to Lido quickly.
-
My other option is 10286, but it looks like it's closer to the pool and only one room away from the bar. Do you think that would be better than the one closer to the elevators?
-
thank you kelkel! I have no idea what I'm doing...is it obvious? haha. I'll look again and see what else is available on lido. There's not a lot left at all.

Thanks to everyone here at CC, I have narrowed down our room choices and put a courtesy hold on one of them. A little about us: traveling with our 9 & 10 year olds on our FIRST family vacation without the in-laws. It'll be the first cruise for any of us and the first time to the ocean for the kids. We want to RELAX, have fun and just spend some time together. Here are the room numbers I've picked so far. I've checked cruise deck plans, room photos, etc.
Which would you pick?
Cove balcony #2290
Deck #8 8277
Lido deck #10269
I want to be in the middle so we are close to everything! I'm not too worried about noise, mostly about being centrally located.

Wow! Lots to take into consideration and everyone has had really great advice. When I narrow down room numbers I'll be back for more advice!
-
That's great information, thank you! I plan to look at the websites dedicated to room selection, but personal experience is always good to hear too.

Why do you like deck 7? I was looking at 7-10 (lido)

Hi everyone! After MONTHS of debating, I have finally convinced my husband to go on a cruise! I'm booking tomorrow! The cruise I have in mind is the 6 day western caribbean on 11/29. (those dates work best with our work schedules) We will be traveling with our 9&10 year olds and although we considered connecting rooms, we will most likely be booking 1 BALCONY room. Any recommendations on which part of the ship I should book? Deck #? I've seen threads here before about port vs. starboard side but I have no idea what that means. Should I be looking at even vs. odd numbered rooms? Any tips you can give would be great!

following!

I guess I really do not see the big deal in putting the kids in a separate room. After reading the advice here, I've ruled out a room across the hall. But I see nothing wrong with connecting rooms.
-
Thanks Stargate fan! I'm also glad you were able to decipher what I wrote because I have NO clue what I meant by that question. Jeez, I guess I shouldn't drink and internet at the same time!

Yea I appreciate all of the advice! I'll definitely look into those rooms volmoma.

yes, I certainly will! I e-mailed them over the weekend asking for a copy, but was told they don't provide anything online and I'll just have to find out when I get there.
