  1. I plugged it in by the desk/vanity area. This was on the Breakaway. Thanks for the tip though. I will definitely bring it with me and ask the cabin steward if there is an outlet to support it.

My hairdryer is a very powerful salon grade dryer. My girlfriend who is a hair dresser ordered it for me. It can't be purchased at a regular store. I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

  2. Yes. Unfortunately, it is not a super powerful one, but if you bring your own, it will trip the circuit in your room. I made that mistake last year and I had to wait a whole day to do my hair. I have very thick, frizzy hair, so I was not pleased, but it was my own fault. Just plan on taking a little extra time to do your hair if you have thicker hair.

  3. I am an ex smoker. When I was a smoker, I was still very considerate of non-smokers and if I knew there was a chance that someone who did not smoke was trying to enjoy their vacation by keeping their balcony door open to let the nice sea breeze into their room next door, i certainly would respect that and not ruin it for them.

Even when I was a smoker I hated the smell of it getting into my home. I would make sure my windows were closed when I was outside smoking. My husband is still a smoker and he does the same. When we go on a cruise, he goes to the designated smoking area to smoke his cigerate before we go to bed and when we wake up in the morning, he goes to the designated area before we go to breakfast. It may be nice to go out on your balcony and smoke, but think about others and be considerate.
