Going on Zuiderdam on 5th of Feb and thank you for quick replies
-
New to HAL is daily Explorer digital or paper and do they have an on-board communication package similar to Carnival or Norwegian. And yes i have searched if you dont want to help I dont need sarcastic comments from people who just like to post please
-
This is our first of hopefully many HAL cruises is it common for no roll call participants. Any first time things we should look for we are on Zuiderdam 10 day Panama Canal cruise
-
Sail on Zuiderdam in Feb for my first HAL cruise its what I have been wanting to do since my first cruise in 2005
-
Never sure why anyone cares about CD I have never had one influence my cruise other than noise pollution
-
Only hot dogs unless they have changed this year
-
We are midship cruisers as such I have no problem forward or aft but my wife likes less roll
-
I take all reviews with a grain of salt as they are someones opinion not fact a cruise is often reviewed by different people 1 loves and 1 may hate it but I personally have never had a bad cruise just some a little off. Cruise well my friends I know I will in 9 days:D:D

I generally wear a sports coat and no tie just like the look and it feels comfortable to me. My jackets now tend to be over the top looks just bought a new one for upcoming cruise that is sure to get a few looks
-
My worst cruise was on Enchantment but did not and would not stop me from trying anything different 70 percent is up to you the other 30 changes by crew rotation and other cruisers onboard
-
If you have sined up for a conflicting event in sometimes it will not let you book dinner as its a 2 hour window
-
I agree cold and barren have much better things to do in Maui
-
Looking for good restraunt near Renaissance on 17th street in September type doesnt matter just good food and location anything from dive to upscale
-
A cruise is what you make of it I enjoy NCL and Carnival only had 1 cruise on RCL but have another in 39 days so fat least favorite RCL but it was just attitide of crew for me they were just not happy other than a few who enjoyed their job. Try everthing as its all exciting in its own way. My bucklist is try as many different cruise lines as I can.

Did Chops 2 nights out of 4 was quite good Steak once tuna another night both were as good as I have had in a true Steakhouse.
-
I saw 3 in advertized section on our September cruise. May well be new promotion

Soooooo, in your opinion, which ship would an active 15yo football player (on a cruise alone with his cool mom:cool:) like better, the Oasis or Getaway? As you can see in my signature line we've tried a variety and are not really loyal to one line. Carnival is the most bc the port is only a 2:45 min drive.
I'm having a hard time deciding and am waiting for someone to say the right thing for me to decide. HA! He says he wants to cruise for the ship and we've been to most of the ports being offered next summer anyway so those don't really factor in.
Did you try the Brazilian steak house on the Getaway? That looks mighty tasty and may be the tie breaker. Sad, I know.:p
We did Geataway and tried almost all restraunts Brazian was only one no one would eat at again and would gladly have gone anywhere ellse salad bar there was good meat was just poor quality. We did enjoy Getaway very much

Very nice review one of my favorites so far thank you :D

Lukka Kairi is open and is my new favorite stop in Nassau
-
Our balcony was right at port watched the streets while relaxing it was dead by 8 PM with only Lukka Kairi and Senor Frogs open and only one I would go to being Lukka Kairi so not much happening after dark anyway.
-
According to some here, they already have. Their ships have big whale tails on them :D:o:rolleyes:
Not nice having tried 3 different lines Carnival has a lot of great things that RC can learn from freindly attentive staff being one I can add quickly dont beat on what you dont know.

Lowest deck middle of ship

I sailed both Sunshine and Getaway last year enjoyed both would go on either one again. Both had great restaurants we ate at many of them Getaway was much bigger and newer even with all that was done to Sunshine still an older ship. I would choose Getaway but did like Sunshine not fond of Aruba when we went there so I would not go Southern just for that reason alone.

Power can go out anywhere hotel ship doesnt matter but ar least ships have experts to fix issues a dark interior room in a NYC hotel now thats scary.
