2 years ago we stayed at the Holiday Inn on Biscayne Bay Blvd. We hade a King Room Suite that looked aver Bayside Market Place and on over to the pier.

Earlier I saw a Bar Menu with a list of Beers. I did notice that Michelob Ultra was not listed. Is that just in that bar or is that ship wide?

Royal up killing me we cruise in 14 days no word yet
We did Royal Up for our cruise on Symphony in October and didn't receive ours until 72 hours before we boarded the ship.
Well worth the wait!
Would defiantly do it again!!!

So what time do people wake in Miami on cruise day?
That would be 6am cause that’s when the neighbor‘s three roll off garbage dumpsters bins get picked up. Just when you are almost asleep, another truck comes to do the 10 minute process again. Nothing like the back up safety horn squealing repeatedly first thing in the morning.
Whatever happen to the day that you just woke early because one was excited. 😉
I had the similar experience at our County Fair this summer. I would just get to sleep then a garbage truck, then the street sweeper and lastly at promptly 5:15 the portolet pumper! Made for long days and short nights!

I was on the Symphony January 2019, 2 senior ladies and will be again August 2020 with a 10 yr old granddaughter of my cabin mate.
I am interested to hear about the laser tag. Do you have to book pre cruise or while on board? If, you have to book while onboard, where? Can a 10 yr old go by herself or if an adult has to accompany her?
Looking forward to your review?
We are on Symphony next week and have been looking into the laser tag for our son. It is our understanding that you can sign up for the different sessions on your boarding day. We are going to see what we can find out and try to sign up for every session that is open when we board.

Ola beaches. I’m Bach, with two Mexican ports while sailing on Symphony.... see what I did there? LOL
With almost a 3 week hiatus after our Hurricane Dorian extended sailing, Lisa and I are back. We fly Friday and cruise Saturday. More cruise details tomorrow.
I am excited to follow along with another one of your adventurous cruises. Even better we will be boarding when you get off next week! Enjoy yourself and take care of the ship for me!!!

You might be in luck.
September 28, Symphony.... the same itinerary. Maybe it will become an eastern and a B2B? LOL, knocking on wood.
Andrew, I have been following along with your 2 week journey around and around the Caribbean and have enjoyed this review of yours as much as any that you have done. I feel as if I have been right there with you. We will be on Symphony Oct. 5th. It would be awesome if you did do the back to back and we would to meet up on that sailing. Enjoy your last day today and safe travels home!

I know that most of my Drink Package purchases are made right from in the pool on my previous 19 cruises. I have had the waitstaff take my seapass or wow band from me right in the pool and then hand me the beer in the pool. This is one of my favorite ways to spend my time on a cruise. It is too bad that a few people that have possibly drank irresponsibly in the pools and ruined this for us the responsible cruisers.

They may require drinks to be in plastic glasses, but I've not heard of a Royal rule that says no drinks near the pool.
Thank you for your reply. I thought that sounded odd. I agree with the plastic glasses.

I recently watched a video on YouTube doing a review of Symphony. One thing that was mentioned in the video is that they do not allow any drinks in or around the pools. My wife and I always enjoy having a beer or dink while sitting in the shallow part of the pool with our feet in the deeper part. We have done this on every cruise for the past 20 years. We are really hoping that this was a rule that someone has misinterpreted.

I had a similar situation last year on Harmony. My son was 12 at the time and we got him the Arcade Credits prior to the sailing as a gift. On day 3 of the cruise when my wife checked our Sea Pass Account, as she does every day, she noticed close to $100 of Arcade charges on our account. She said this must be an error and went straight to Guest Services thinking that when our son's credits were gone he wouldn't be able to play any more since he did not have charging privileges on his Sea Pass. Turns out by having the Arcade credits he was able to charge at the Arcade to our account after the credits expired. Thankfully he had only exceeded the credit amount by less than $100 and my wife being the great negotiator she is was able to get is reduced to $50 and we locked his card from charges from that point.
With all of that said, I would go easy on the OP for what they did or didn't do. They are kids having harmless fun while enjoying a family vacation. Yes there was an issue with the system and most likely it is some type of a software issue that is fleet wide. Moving forward we may or may not do the Arcade credits but I will still let my son have all the fun he wants while on his cruise!

Well it is that time again for the Seadog family to head out on the open seas. This will be our first time on Harmony, however we have had the good fortune of sailing on Oasis several times and Allure once so we have some idea of what we can expect.
According to Wiki the ship at max occupancy holds 6,780 passengers -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_Harmony_of_the_Seas
Heading south tomorrow via air freight, better known as American Airlines and boarding Harmony on Saturday. We have an overnight at the Hilton Marina. We are a small cog, part of a larger group going so there may be less posts, but I will try and post lots of pictures of the ship/cabin/areas/entertainment along with hopefully lots of food porn. I am also going to try to post many videos as I practice taking them and editing them to improve, so depending on the WIFI quality there should be videos as well.
We are stationed in a Boardwalk Balcony Cabin, so no endless view of the passing sea, but let's see what views the boardwalk provides....
As the video linked above shows, we are on the Western Route this upcoming week so will be porting at Labadee, ( hopefully getting some Medication for our Vacation), Jamaica, ( hopefully getting some.. well nevermind that).. and Cozumel ( where we have our only excursion booked of Playa Mia Beach Break, where I hope to sample some tequila and maybe get an on beach massage!)
On question I hope to answer is can someone find peace and quiet along with relaxation on such a large ship? Follow along to find out if there are any secret hide-a-ways and areas to retreat from almost 6K passengers.
Hope you can join us for the next week or so and look for updates to start tomorrow afternoon as we begin our journey to Fort Lauderdale and then Harmony of the Seas..
We will be on board with you guys. We are also staying at the Hilton Marina tomorrow night as well.
Maybe we should try to meet up!

Radio,
Have a great cruise! We are doing the same Harmony itin on May 19. Your updates will be greatly appreciated.
Rick and Deirdra
We will be your shipmates! 3 more weeks / sailings and it is our turn.
Thanks Radio for the great review. I am following along and looking forward to your insightful postings during the week!!!

So we are going to be on Harmony of the Seas May 19th and have a few questions about the Voom Internet package.
First, as a single user, can you log into more than one device at different times or does the log in follow the device?
Second, Is it cheaper to wait later in the cruise to purchase the package?
Third, how well does the wifi calling feature work?
Lastly, as a Diamond Member do we receive any free time or set day with free internet service?
Sorry if this post is overwhelming but we are just trying to figure out a few things before we leave. Thank you in advance and have a wonderful day!

Andrew,
Thank you very much for this thread!!!! I have enjoyed reading and following along with your adventures aboard Harmony of the Seas. At times I felt like I was there with you. Nine more sailings and it will be our turn!!!
Safe travels home!!!

I burned a bit of midnight oil, but they are done. I guess YouTube doesn’t like Voom that much. It was to big to post as one video so you are getting a two parter. Turn up your volume and enjoy.
For those using Tapatalk click on the video enlarge it for the audio to work.

Wow!!! You sure can Hang 10!!!
Those are some slick moves!!!
I am really enjoying your updates!!!
Thanks for taking time out of your vacation to include us all!!!
Makes me more excited for our turn May 19th!!!

I have really enjoyed all of your insightful post. We were on Symphony 2 years ago this week and will be again in January. I find it interesting the changes both good and bad.
BTW we are from Ohio as well!
Enjoy the rest of your cruise!!!!
