When is your cruise? Might be accurate now but might very well change before your cruise.

Many countries in Europe is right now changing requirements for test prior to entry. I'll recommend that you look into requirements 2 to 4 weeks before your cruise.

Cruise isn't until July 2nd.  It is on the new Ritz Carlton yacht.  That is also an issue as there have been so many delays and as of yesterday they still couldn't provide updated pics or videos of the ship.  So, there is also the concern that it won't even sail.

But, my main issue with the wait it out is that we have until March 2nd to give the balance of the deposit and cancel without penalty.  I can wait a few more weeks, but need to make a decision.

  2. I have a Ritz cruise booked for July 2, 2022.  I spoke with the Ritz agent last night inquiring about pictures or videos of ship.  They have nothing but said yes its on schedule.

I am very suspicious of it being ready in May, with no pictures or videos of ship.

I also do not like the thought of spending so much money on a new ship that hasn't worked out all of their kinks yet.

I am thinking of canceling and or post phoning the cruise for another year.  Make sure it actually sails and lives up to its expectations.

  3. First time cruising to Europe.

Have been researching covid testing requirements, but still have questions.  If I am understanding everything correctly, it seems fairly complicated to cruise during covid.

I know we need a PCR test 72 hours in advance to get to Venice.  We were planning on arriving to Venice approx. 36 hours prior to boarding cruise.  Which means our first Covid test will be beyond the 72 hour requirement and we would need to take another PCR test in Venice prior to boarding the ship (hoping we get the results in time).  On board the ship they require a rapid test, which is fine.  But, then we would need another PCR test to fly back to Italy from Croatia, and another from Italy to US?

    Does this sound accurate?
