  1. We booked our upcoming Dec 2017 cruise on Indy during the Memorial day sale and got a great price. Every time I called to check other specials they said that we got the best price during that sale. So I am wondering, will there be a better sale at Black Friday or at Next Cruise or should I wait for the Memorial day sale again to book our next cruise? Anyone with more experience on when the best time to book is? I know I can check and call, but don't want to miss a good sale either.

    TIA

  2. We are sailing on IOS in December, and I have read that it's not a Freestyle Machine but rather by the glass/can. Can anyone confirm for me if they have Iced tea, not Sweet or Unsweetened tea? Like Brisk or Lipton, like you would buy in the can at the grocery store. That's all my teen aged daughters drink, but I don't want to buy the soda package for them if it isn't one of the choices.

    TIA

  3. If you think about it there really isn't an extra day as the day you embark typically starts late morning and the day you disembark ends mid morning. Those two time frames essentially equal one day, not two, even though the time is spread over two. That, to keep it clear for the passengers, I think is why the length of the cruise and all things associated with that are counted as nights, not days on board.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense when you say it that way(y)

  4. I'd check your exchange rate and determine which is better for you: paying in USD on the cruise, or pre-paying in CAN.

Hi Bob, but if I do that it gets charged to my credit card, and then there is a 1 or 2% exchange rate over and above the posted exchange rate at the bank for using my credit card:o. So since I've already exchanged it, I am better off settling it with cash. Thanks though;)

  5. Thanks everyone, I thought it was per night and remembered disembarkment didn't count. I like to go to GS and put the amount on our account right away so I don't have a balance at the end of the cruise. I hate having a CC charge at the end of it all. I save our spending cash once I book the cruise so once the cruise is over I don't wonder how I'm going to pay that off!! Lol....

  6. Hi there, we leave on Monday on RCL Enchantment of the Seas. I am trying to make up an envelope for the Gratuities to apply to our account . Is the $13.50 applied for each night you spend on the ship or per day? I can't find the answer here or on RCL's page. I used to know this , but.....brain fart:rolleyes:

    Thanks,

    Kathy

  7. We are a family of six that spent Thanksgiving day at the pool. We did go straight there and were the first at the pool. Greeted by a nice man who dried our chairs off and explained where everything was. We got six chairs right by the waterslide. Restrooms are near there. The pool cabanas were right behind us. We were glad we didn't rent one and thought it wouldn't be worth it. The Waterslide and ziplining walk up was right there too, so it was perfect with our grandkids. Our grandson ziplined all day for 6.00. It was nice going straight there because as the day went on the lines were longer. He probably ziplined 10 times before any lines and used the slides also.

We got hamburger sliders with fries that cost $6.00. Chicken quesadilla with fries 10.00. Beer and drinks expensive. 6.00 beer/ 7.95 mixed drink. We were only in port till 4:00...so we didn't want to take the time to go back on the ship and eat and then go back. We were glad we ate a little then just got a snack when we got back on the ship at 3:30.

We loved it there. We all want to go back and are looking for another cruise with a stop there.

My two daughters and I went shopping and even went back to a couple stores a few times. It is a close walk so that made it nice. I also took 2 inner tubes and we blew them up when we got there and they let us use them in the pool. We floated on them all day. They rent rafts for 8.00 all day and also other things like umbrellas, etc..

It was the perfect day for our family. We flew in from different states so it was a great way to spend the day together!!

Is this right near the port or do we have to take a taxi? Is it one set price or pay as you use the amenity..ex: zip lining ?

  8. Hi Everyone,

Just booked last night for our 2013 cruise, wondering if anyone has stayed there lately? PCC looked specifically for this Aft Mini Suite for us saying that it is one of the "preferred" aft minis by cruisers. Just wondering if anyone has pics or, comments re: 4 people in it. It will be us and our 2 DD's 15 & 12 at the time of sailing.

    TIA, can't wait!:D

  9. We went to Roatan in Feb 09 from The Norweigian Pearl. This was our 2nd time in Roatan, but our first with Victor Bodden Tours. Our guide was Norma, and she was FANTASTIC!! She took us wherever we wanted to go, plus some ideas of her own. I would highly recommend Bodden tours to anyone who is sitting on the fence wondering if they should or shouldn't book it! You won't be disappointed! Look at all the people here who have loved the tours, we can't all be wrong!!
