  1. We have the Hidden gems tour booked for our upcoming cruise. I'm not sure how active you want to be, but it has great reviews on trip advisor. We booked direct, it's cheaper that way.

  2. I'm not sure what Ncl offers because I've only sailed celebrity to Bermuda. However, on our last cruise there we did the glass bottom boat and really enjoyed it, I think there may be one that includes snorkeling.

But as the pp stated it would be good to compare prices of booking on your own. unless it's the last day I always like the peace of mind of booking through the ship so I know it won't leave with out us. I'd pay a little extra for that guarantee.

  3. We did the Museum last year. It was interesting. My husband really liked it, I got a little bored. But you can watch the dolphins at dolphin quest and the view of the ships is amazing up on the hill. It's not something I would do again but it wasn't very expensive and I'm glad we did it.

  4. We only did the crystal cave, arrived to late to do the other one which has more stairs. I think the ramp at the beginning was harder then the stairs. I don't have pictures of the steps but here's the ramp, it's steeper then it looks. There was no rush getting back up the stairs, you can take your time and take breaks if needed.

  5. I did this cruise to Bermuda in May. The entertainment was not that great. The comedians they had were good but that was about it as far as the theatre shows the rest really sucked. They had the "game show" activities that were fun but over by 9pm. They had karaoke and music trivia. The crowd on the Summit tends to be older (walkers and scooters galore) so to me it seems like they cater to that crowd. We spent most of our nights hanging out at the martini bar, the live music I really don't remember I think they had a DJ near the martini bar. However, while the entertainment was not that great it was a great cruise. It was relaxing and didn't have kids running all over the place. We liked it enough to book it again for our honeymoon next September.

  6. Hi all,

I just got engaged and we are thinking of doing a cruise wedding next May/June on embarkation In Baltimore Port. Most likely on Carnival. but how far in advance do I need to book it? Do I have use a travel agent? (I have AAA and used their local travel agents before and it was a disaster, I'd rather not do that again.) I have looked through the boards here but I just don't know where to start!

  7. I'm re-posting the directions with cleaner formatting for myself and others, as something like this would likely need to be read on the fly by a passenger.

Thank you very much for posting them. It appears a bit more complicated than google maps shows!

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

When you come through the toll plaza there are lots of choices and you have to make a quick decision as to where you are going.

For a first timer there's not time to stop and try to spot the correct little sign and I'm not sure the names of all the streets are clearly marked.

GPS is notoriously bad in this area.

    - After you pay your toll you go straight across the toll plaza and get on a 2 lane ramp that goes up and curves left. This is hard to miss.

    - On the ramp you stay on the right and make the first right, stay to the right and make another right.

    - You will come to the light at route 440 where you will make a left, stay left, and make a left at the first light onto Goldsborough Drive.

    - Route 440 is a four lane divided highway. You can only turn left at a traffic light - going south the first light is now at Goldsborough Drive.

    - The left turn into the port used to be at Port Terminal Blvd (and it still is coming the other way), but they shut down that turn fairly recently and made Goldsborough Drive the main port access road coming from the north.

    - Goldsborough Drive will merge with Port Terminal Blvd. You will be able to see the ship and you just follow the crowd about 2 miles out to the ship.

Are these directions still good? Thank you for taking the time to type them out!!
