Thanks Riclop!
I booked for mid May on the Vista with an interior Havana room. I was able to score Faster to the Fun and anytime dining! Woo hoo count down is on!

We are doing the Havana for sure. My husband is looking forward to the Imax theater. So I think all in all it will be good. We did Ncl breakaway last year and I am so looking forward to sailing with carnival again.

Thanks everyone! I think I am going to pull the trigger tomorrow. I've had my eye on the Havana rooms since the Vista debuted. Usually we do a balcony but I think this will be totally worth it.

We are looking to stay in one of these rooms and I am wondering about the noise level with the bar just in the other side. We've stayed under a bar once..... Never again. That's when I learned to pick my own room :)

We leave in two weeks on the breakaway. I just put our bid in. So nerve-racking. Did I bid enough? Will I get it? Should I bid on another? Is it really worth paying that much? Just some of the things I keep thinking about. Wish us luck!

I had seen May with no exact date also. My fingers are crossed. We are there the third week in May.

I have never had so much trouble figuring out where to stay before a cruise. We are driving in and would like a Stay, Park and Cruise package. The plan is to come in the night before. We probably won't be doing any site seeing before the trip. Any recommendations?

How is it false advertising? The free guests only pay taxes, port fees, and DSC (if old enough).
$190 in taxes and another $100 in gratuities. I am not really complaining but still $600 more then if it were just DH and I going so not what I would consider free.

We are taking the kids this year so we did the free guests (which I feel is a little bit of false advertising) and the gratuities. Those seem to be the best deals for us. DH doesn't drink and I usually only spend about $100 on drinks.

We are a family of four sailing on the breakaway at the end of May next year. We are looking for a clean, nice hotel that is easy access to the port and Manhattan so we can see the sights. We are unsure if we are driving or flying into the area. Where has everyone else stayed pre cruise when sailing on the Breakaway?
We are a family of four sailing out on the 21st! Any chance that is your cruise? We will be driving in. DH has found a couple of ideas. Although I don't remember which they were. We are hoping for a stay and park since the garage in NY is so expensive. There was one hotel where he mentioned they had a limo that would take you to the port. I thought the kids might really enjoy that. We really should be narrowing down our choices.

It's funny I should come across this. I just called today for a price adjustment. I didn't notice before but they added it to mine also. (I called and booked I Sept.) when I asked the rep about it she gave me the sale speech on how great it is. So I kept it for now but we will cancel it. Ours was 350. It's a gamble if you get it or not. We have never bought insurance.

We stayed at the Best Western last year and waiting for a ride back to the hotel was so slooow. I think we waited at least 45 minutes.
We waited long enough I started to count how many Holiday Inn vans we saw. I can't remember how many but I said next time we are staying at the Holiday Inn.

Not sure about the room but definitely vibrations in the dinning room

Agreed. To the point where I don't think we will sail the Pride again. We don't have a problem with sea sickness. But we felt sick almost every night in the dining room.

Yeah I figured that was what was going on. I'll check as soon as we get on board.

I was looking at excursions this morning. Found one I thought I might like Thought about it during the day and came home to actually purchase it and it was gone.
There was another excursions that I liked but it said it was sold out and now its not showing up either.
Fast forward to a few minutes ago....there use to be 5 pages (earlier this evening) of excursions and now there are only three pages.
We cruise out at the end of this month. Are these excursions really being sold out that fast today or is carnivals website acting funny?

If you take Your Time Dining then you will have no problem getting a table for two.
Unfortunately Anytime is a wait list now. I would prefer that. That is one thing I really liked about NCL. I wish Carnival would adopt it.

I get a charge out of people wanting a table for two. Sounds romantic yet in fact you are usually an elbow shot away from the next table for two:D
Every dining room is different. On the Pride there were a lot of booths and tables for two that were not two inches from the next table.
Thanks for the responses I will try to email. :)

We leave at the end of May on the Triumph. Right now we are scheduled for late dining.
The first Carnival cruise we did we were with a group and we sat with them. The second one we did we took our children and we were able to get Anytime Dining.
This time around it will just be my husband and I. Will we be able to get a table for two?

They won't clean while you are in the room. Last year our son spilled his chocolate milk all over the bed. I asked our steward for new sheets. He said he would do it but we all had to leave the room while he changed the sheets.
-
Fingers crossed then!

I have clicked on the wait list for early. So I assume I am.

What does this include with the FTTF?
Dining Reservations
Priority Main Dining Room and Specialty Restaurant reservations (excluding Your Time Dining).
We booked our Cruise on the 10th for the 31st of this month and the only dining time available was late dining. With two kids age 4 and 8 this is way to late for us. I was able to snag a FTTF today (YAY!) I am hoping this means we can change our late dining to early?
