Did you have any hot water problem? In the morning, if you are the first one to take shower, you have to let the water run till the water becomes hot (hot water travels the long pipe to reach to your cabin). This may take 4 minutes (talk about water conservation). But once you got hot water and every one gets up to take shower, hot water comes out with no problem. We have tested this and confirmed this theory.

 

If you take the shower in the afternoon when nobody takes shower, good luck to you to get hot water. You have to let the water run again. Water waste again!

We had no problem. We raised between 4 and 6 AM and our stateroom was on deck 7.

We talked to many customers on this ship. Many I talked to said the same thing "this ship is so boring", "we never feel so bored on cruise", "if you want me to give rating, I would rate this ship #20 out of 20 ships". You can see that fellow passengers were so disappointed of this new ship.

 

Well, because of this ship, we didn't buy Future Cruise deposit. HAL has to do something to lure us back.

Can't believe that we were on the same ship. We had a fantastic cruise on a fantastic ship. But we're not dancers and tea lovers. You can make so many choices on this ship.

Could someone please clarify. Is it a downloadable app or a website available on the ship's wifi?

For breakfast if you have a balcony: roomservice. There is a breakfast card by the navigator you find on your bed in the evening. But take a good look, it's sometimes hide but it is there.

I'll be sailing on the Koningsdam in a few days and considering it is a brand new ship - any tips from those fortunate to have sailed on it so far? :)

Tips? Don't miss the beautifull dining room. New York deli and pizza is a good alternative to the Lido specialy on seadays. Also don't miss Tamarind, World Stage, and the duo pianists from Billboard on Board. Don't read too much the negatives on this board, explore the ship by yourself. Enjoy your cruise. Don't forget too make many many photos and buy souvenirs. Enjoy your cruise. It's a wonderfull ship. All shows we've seen are appropriate for teenagers. (We skipped the magican).

One very talented person could fill the bill very nicely.

That's right as one singer can fill the bill nicely and two is more fun when they interact well. The same with the pianists. Last week on Koningsdam: They played and sang the same songs together, but the man have the man's voice and the women the women voice. It's more fun.

Don't panic. We were last week on Koningsdam. The dualling pianists from Billboard played requests. We enjoyed them very much. Edited: pianist must be pianists

Cruised twice on ms Rotterdam, and thought that Koningsdam is too big for me. Today back from a cruise on Koningsdam, just to try the new ship, and found that I prefer now Koningsdam over ms Rotterdam. It never felt crowded and have so many attractive areas.

Wat a beautifull ship model. Is that the $100 model or the $49 ?

I don't think the ship looks top heavy when the white horizontal lines in section two and three are ready.

These white lines from the front to after will catch your attention and not the top section. As I mentioned before the Koningsdam looks much like ms Queen Elizabeth. And thats a beautifull ship. A real oceanliner.

Maybe she looks boxy on one photo where you see little depth. But she looks much like ms Queen Elizabeth. And ms Queen Elizabeth is not boxy in real life.

I'm also tech oriented but there are exceptions. For ordering a meal I like the human interaction. And I like the Daily Program on paper, to take it home as a souvenir.
