They've never charged for milk in the same way as they don't charge for ice. You can ask for a carton or a jug to keep in the 'fridge. I've always rung room service as soon as we've got to our cabin. Milk may be a service provided by your steward, but room service is quicker, especially if you're gasping for a cuppa! We always ask for semi-skimmed but I think they have full and skimmed as well.

I thought all room service now had a delivery charge?

Another tip is that if you want to get some fresh milk for your room, order cereal on the room service breakfast and you get a nice jug of milk you can keep in the fridge for a couple of days.

You could also use one of the water cups and fill it with the milk next to the tea station but you might not be popular with your fellow cruisers.

Just ring room service and ask for a carton of milk and then keep it in the'fridge

  4. Unfortunately I recieved the following reply after sending all the neccesay details and photo to Stockperks;

Unfortunately, per the validation rules we have from our clients, we had to reject your submission because it was too old.

Can you follow the same upload process in the app but with legible recent images of your documentation (from the last 3 months)? These images should show:

    • your name (that matches the Stockperks user name)
    • the brokerage’s name
    • date of the documentation
    • the number of shares you own in companies offering perks via Stockperks

I don't know what they mean by the last 3 months, my share certificate is 6 years old. What do they need?

Just back from my third Iona cruise in 3 months. My fifth P&O cruise in 5 months.

I do not wish to write a review as I could not match the quality of Selbourne or TigerB.

I do though wish to share a few thoughts on my experiences.

Iona rides the sea’s magnificently. Force 9 or 10 winds, 10 metre waves, no problems, just a mild sway.

The staff, especially the waiters LOVE working on Iona and actually ask to come back on next contract. That is good because they are the best we have had on our 20 years of cruising. I could name so many instances, but just one. A waiter, who was not our waiter, noticed my wife had lost her voice, so he went and got a plate of honey and lemons for her to take back to our cabin. He checked for the next couple of days to see if it had done the trick. Fantastic.

The organisation including embarking, disembarking, ports is first class.   Much better than all the other P&O ships.

One for Lady Selbourne, no problems at all with lifts, especially front and back.  The etiquette was exemplary. Wheelchairs and pushchairs were always were given priority.  Please give it another try outside of school holidays.

The food was good but was let down by the menus, which is company wide.

PLEASE P&O SET UP A PASSENGER PANEL TO ASCERTAIN WHAT PASSENGERS WANT.

The dining app works a treat because most use it.

The food in the Olive Grove is fantastic, why it is included baffles me.

The shows are good, enhanced by the quality high tech.

The Christmas decorations were fantastic as well.

    Last thoughts.

Cabin steward gave us 4 packs of biscuits per day.

Ice when he did the cabin, usually when we were at breakfast.

If I told the waiter I liked something he always asked if I would like two. For instance, if I asked for a steak, he said “ would you like 2”. Nothing was too much trouble.

Yes, I know P&O is not what it was but it will do for me.

Especially as I booked the same cruise for next year and got £830 OBC No, I don’t know why!!

Selbourne - please give it another try.

What is the cruise with the £830 OBC that you mention?

  6. P&O have apparently issued the following statement. "We have stopped building new ships with libraries. The reason is so we can have other bars, restaurants etc. there and the reason is also that, well, the amount of people who want to borrow a book and sit, in library silence on their Fun cruise was, we saw, getting less and less." They have also said that existing libraries will be removed from each ship as it recieves refurbishment. 7. I was dreading having to book the Intercruises coach transfer for our October cruise because it usually takes so long, but this time my call was answered on the first ring. They have obviously resolved their previous issues. Just thought people would like to know.

I always pack a manuel toothbrush just in case I can't charge my electric one

No shaver/toothbrush sockets in Iona or Arvia and the ones on Brittania are the wrong size. I take a 3 pin to 2 pin (shaver size) - n0 problem, but you have to use a socket in the cabin.

  9. I've keep visiting 'My Account' on the P&O website to find out a record of my cruises and the loyalty points that I have. All it ever keeps saying is "Something happened, please try again later." Has anyone found another way o getting this information?

  10. The water in your bathroom is perfectly drinkable and is the same as that served in the dining rooms and buffet. We fill a couple of plastic bottles from the tap and put them in the 'fridge so that they are nice and cold to drink.

I don't know why P&O persevere with these dining apps. Everyone seems to have fallen foul of them at one time or another. The old system of turn up, be given a pager if there isn't a table ready was fine. We never had much of a wait and we were never forgotten or ignored as seems to happen now. On our last cruise in October we gave up on the app after we waited an hour and a quarter to be called and sat next to a couple who had just walked up. Thats just what we did afterwards and never had to wait for more than a few minutes to be seated

  12. We are sailing on Arvia later this month and have seen that there are only two black tie nights in two weeks. We can't find out which bars and restarants are black tie only and which are available to those in casual dress. Can anyone tell us which these are or point us to where this information is given?
