  1. I received the letter but hadn't yet opened it. Fortunately my PVP hunted me down so I could take advantage of the offer. Sailing on the 8 night Eastern in April and upgraded to a balcony for less than $200. Am hoping a friend can come with me, otherwise I'm going solo for the first time. As I said to my PVP, I can't afford to stay home for that price!

  2. I have pretty severe motion sickness so after a little bit of trial and error, here is what works for me. I pick up a bottle of Meclizine, which is the key ingredient in Bonine. I start taking it twice a day two days prior to sailing. This way, it's in my system before we leave, which was something I learned the hard way on our very first cruise. Remember to eat! You need to have food in your stomach and I always feel better when I'm in fresh air - even when the weather isn't great. It's good to be able to see the horizon and the air moving around seems to help.

Finally, try not to go with the attitude that you're going to get sick. Prep ahead of time and then enjoy your cruise!

  3. - We're in cabin 7612. Anyone stay there previously? It doesn't say it has an obstructed view so I am hoping it's a regular balcony cabin.

Yes, we have stayed in 7612...and there are no obstructions. The stateroom is very comfortable with tons of storage space...some of which we didnt even discover until we were about finished with our cruise! :)

Thank you! We are really looking forward to this cruise!

  4. There are some wonderful and inspirational stories on this thread!

My DH and I work crazy hours and do not have a lot of time together during the regular work week. I have the travel bug and had to slowly get him used to the idea that an annual vacation was a priority but now it's part of our lives and we really value that time together. We went on our first cruise together several years ago and have been fortunate to have gone every year since. No work, no worries... just us together for a whole week. :)
