  1. You are correct! We have watched every episode of Bones and also liked when Bones and Booth would go undercover as Buck and Wanda. We were on the Explorer of the Seas one cruise and I was at the computer in the ships library. Patti was reading a book. All was quiet within the Library, Then a family of loud mouths entered the library and talked as if they were 20 yards from each other. Everyone at the desks just looked up. The loud mouths stood there for 5 minutes continuing their conversation. I got up from my desk and walked to where my wife sat which was next to the screamers and I screamed," Wanda where do you want to eat tonight!" She screamed back at me", How about Chops Buck! "With that the family looked at us and walked away, We all took our seats and continued to quietly read and use the computer. That's how we became Bucknwanda.

  2. We have been on Grandeur 8 times. The November cruise was the first time we had a negative MDR experience. The servers were very nice but the service was slow. I had a glass of water spilled on me the first night and was served frozen Shrimp  Cocktail. I believe the change is due to the more experienced staff being transfered to the larger new ships leaving the first and second contract staff to serve on the older smaller ships.

  3. My wife and I booked cabin 7003 for a 14 night New England/Canada cruise. The cabin was an ocean view at the very front of the 7th deck. When we walked into the cabin we were shocked at the size.

We had a foyer with the bathroom to the right and then the entire rest of the stateroom to the left. The view was forward and we could see the helio deck and then the sea. We had a pull out sofa and two chairs and a table in front of the porthole.

Needless to saw we had plenty of room. I would not hesitate to book this cabin again.

  4. she was the first cruise ship we had ever been on 9 years ago. Since then we have gotten the cruise bug and have sailed on her 7 times as well as other ships. The Grandeur is ourship to relax on. We know where everything is and the crew is always friendly and helpful. We have 3 more cruises planned sailing the Grandeur.

  5. I also was on the Grandeur's recent cruise. I second what has been said about the quality of the food. We went to the MDR the first night and sat at a table for eight. There was one other couple sitting at the table that night. We only visited the MDR one other time during the cruise and found the same couple there with three other people that had moved from another empty table so they had someone to talk to. I have never seen such an empty MDR on any cruise I've been on.

The rest of the cruise we ate at the specialty spots or the Windjammer which was crowded. Our expectations for the quality of food has diminished over the years. I guess the cruise line needs to pay for the super ships with the loyal cruisers receiving less and less.

  6. I've gotten conflicting info from RC about the cost of the Beach Bungalow. The first time I called the cost was $225 per guest. I thought that was high and called again and was told it's $225 for the Bungalow for up to 6 people. Has anyone had the experience of paying for it? Is it one price or $225 for each guest?

  7. As the months go on, we the loyal customers are having more and more perks taken away. Cabin prices rise, services disappear and we are expected to continue to que up and hand over our cash. This year instead of booking a spring cruise we booked a tour to England. We had a great time for less then a 9 day RC cruise.

RC there are other alturnatives. We will not continue to pay for cruises as the service and perks disappear and the prices rise.
