  1. You certainly are not going to take reviews like this too seriously I hope. To get a cross section check the overall review section of Cruise Critic.

Well said. I will be cruising on her in one week... I will be writing a very formal review with pictures and video of my experience. I will make sure to put it on here... hopefully I can help clear some things up because I'm very big fan of Royal Caribbean and Norwegian.

  2. It may be possible in December we cruised really cheap I'll have to look and see what we paid. But we also drove to Baltimore saving a lot of money and we booked this cruise very last minute (they typically try to sell all the cabins and offer reduced rates if you wait until very last minute) this could be not doable since the amount of people you're talking about taking.... I would look @ prices in November / December... Don't hold me to it.... Cruise prices are impossible to predict it seems.

  3. The rate differential between May and January stays for above average properties are night and day. The Crowne you'll be staying at for 150 at the end of May is running 312 in January, 343 in early February and 353 in late February.

WOW I literally had no idea.... Glad I decided to cruise in May

  4. We've done it before we just honestly don't use it enough to justify the extra $. I would rather spend that money on something @ port or something extra on the ship if you want a view go look off the side of the ship :D But some like it and use it and if that's the case then why not!

  5. We have had extension cords and surge protectors (multi-outlet) confiscated. Steward said that the multiple device units allow too much power to be drawn. Sounded like the canned response.

However, we have never had a multi-plug unit without a cord (little three-way) confiscated... even when they took the extension cord plugged into it. Seriously, they took the cord, but left the triple-plug.

At check-in, we are sometimes asked if we have any medical devices to plug in (they mean CPAP or other equipment, but can't ask directly, as that's personal health information). Tell them YES, you have a medical device -- you don't have to tell them what it is. They flag your room and the steward is alerted to leave the power cords in place.

Good point may want to call ahead and ask about doing it before just doing it. I like your post thanks for the insight. I may call NCL and ask. :o

  6. The view from the other side:

    I've been on four cruises.

Number of outlets in the main cabin (not the bathroom): one, one, one, and two.

Number of outlets in the bathroom: one, one, one, and one.

This has me concerned. I may pack one on my next... never know every ship is different.

  7. Always arrive a day early and ALWAYS make sure you have your documents needed to board we once took 6 people on a cruise with us and 2 of them forgot birth certificates/passports and could not board they attempted to get it faxed or emailed to the cruise company in time but unfortunately were left behind due to poor planning.

  8. I can't imagine needing more than 4 things at once using power. My experience is if you have a lot of things you just take ones off you're not using like your phone or camera if you need to charge your toothbrush or possibly a laptop. We've had a full room with 4 people in it (very rare for us to do) and only then was it an issue and even then we made due.

  9. Yes you're standing deepest you get is about to the waist.. They will accommodate for younger kids on the depth you go in.:) Most of the time you're only knee deep!

  10. I booked this through Atlantis directly the first time we did it but I'm sailing May 30th with NCL Getaway looks like they offer it via NCL shore excursions website... here is pic of it! And yes you spend about 30 minutes going over safety and putting a wet suit on then you spend about 45-1 hour with the dolphins they do swimming and jumping feed them and all sorts of little tricks! then they kiss you and you get deeper in the water and you kind of hold them for a picture it's an awesome experience!

  11. Dolphin Cay @ Atlantis. Did it last year we enjoyed the park afterwards... I wasn't impressed with the park due to the amount of people in it at all times. But I did enjoy the Dolphin interaction and pictures you can purchase from Atlantis.
