  1. Just off the Breakaway August 23rd. I too was concerned about many factors regarding the Entourage and my 13 year old son. He's kind of shy so I was worried about this as well. The first day of embarkation parents were allowed to tour the Entourage, after that no adults other than the Adult Counselors. Surprisingly enough my son absolutely loved it and it's programs. I could hardly get him to tear himself away from there. He made many new friends on board that he currently skypes with now. He can't wait for us to go back next August and he tells all his friends back home how much fun the Entourage was. I hope this helps, one of my son's favorite activities was Dodgeball on the top deck. Happy Sailing to you and your family.

  2. Just got back on Sunday from Bermuda. Ask for Krisma (waitress) in the Manhattan room. She is absolutely amazing trust me and the food was excellent as well. Teppanyaki its definitelyworth going to and was probably our favorite for speciality dining. You will surely enjoy as we did. Actually I rebooked the same exact trip and stateroom for next year while on board we had a spectacular time. The crew is surely awesome. Enjoy

  3. Well said Harriet, I was quite disappointed when I was informed they removed it for no apparent reason. As mentioned it took multiple calls to get it reinstated how ridiculous, it took an O.K. from a supervisor and a couple key strokes and it was back. What really irked me was my cruise consultant telling me "I don't care how many times you call back or who you talk to they will all tell you NO." I couldn't even believe he said that. At that point I was ready to cancel and just fly to Bermuda. This being my first time cruising and with NCL I was very much disappointed and we haven't even left yet. I am glad I was able to work it out but the customer shouldn't be the one who has to jump through hoops. Thanks everyone for your input.

  4. I hope it works out. Knowing first hand how long it can take to get NCL to keep its original arrangement can be quite draining. I've learned first hand, if your on the phone and an agreement is struck for something and made between you and your rep, CC, or TA have them forward you an email pertaining to it for your record, it helped in my case.

  5. Wish I could say for certain. This is personally my first cruise. I was so discouraged that NCL did this with no Heads-Up it was going to happen. When we booked UDP it was one of three promotions being offered for free and we were instructed Cirque is free as well and included but we must attend the the first night of sailing. Sure, no problem. I was not going to allow them to get away with their dishonesty and saw to it they made it right again. So is it really worth $40.00 pp, I can't really say yet, but I know you have to fight them tooth and nail for them to reinstate it again complimentary as was originally agreed. So for them wanting to pretty much charge everyone to see it now, it must be worth attending. I was also reading it appears there is no longer premium seating (not sure about that) $40 pp no matter where you sit. I guess if you want great seats and that's the case, arrive early. I can give you the lowdown as we're going in August, please message me a reminder. Best of luck.

  6. It was originally for us at time of booking (party of 4) in January with UDP, then NCL removed it a couple months ago. Being not at all happy with that, I called and called, resulting in multiple "No's." This past week I was finally able to resolve this issue with probably the best rep I've spoken to yet. All it took was an o.k. from a supervisor and a couple key strokes and Voilà our Cirque show was returned. Ridiculous what I had to go through before this with no else wanting to help. Originally it included Cirque on the first night of sailing on the Breakaway to Bermuda with UDP. So my advice is this: If you really want to see it as we do and have opted for the UDP, keep calling and don't take No for an answer, the right person can correct it for you. Hope it works out.

  7. It was one of the four promos at the time and our NCL rep we spoke with several times assured us we would get to see it. I questioned going with RCCL to the rep as I was speaking with him as the itinerary and destination were basically the same. He abruptly said No Way and his supervisor won't allow it either. I rebutted so "You'll let me walk, cancel my reservation with NCL and go to one of your main competitors all over a dinner show reservation that was originally included and promised, without a hesitation from him came an immediate yes. How awful to lure you in but in the end they won't give it to you. Heaven forbid they honor the reservations already booked for months like ours, but oh no. There was no indication this was going to happen, this could very well be my first and last cruise. I'm am less than satisfied thus far as NCL will absolutely not honor or resolve this amicably with me and I'm sure many others. I have this overwhelming feeling I'm going to be "Nickel and Dimed" for everything in the end,I certainly hope that isn't going to be true.

Thank you for your reply and insight.

  8. Hi Guys, we too opted for UDP on the Breakaway in August for Cirque complimentary our rep actually encouraged us to get it. Received the same story with absolutely no effort to make up for it in any manner. The only answer I kept getting was "No" and I too stated unacceptable. It was mentioned by a supervisor I spoke to we can add you to the list if NCL reverses its decision (that's a big IF) I will call you and let you know...yeah right. I then called NCL corporate and again the same thing... No Way, No How. Quite disappointing this being my very first cruise and the NCL customer service has been far less than helpful in wanting to resolve something so simple, what an absolute let down. It's not like we just made our reservations it was nearly 6 months ago. We too were told you should be grandfathered in, yet again another No. Glad to hear it worked out for you we were not that lucky.
