I caught that show too. I'm not sure about him. He seems to have an interesting eye, and is a great sketch artist, but he doesn't seem to have much in the way of actual sewing skills.

I have a feeling the whole 'Heidi wearing his dress' was a giant set up on him. Not that he knew she'd pull out..... Made for good drama.

I hope he can get his 'act' together for the sake of credibility for Project Runway. I didn't watch last season, but I'm getting the impression this seasons team has more technical expertise. Feel free to tell me if I'm wrong.

Maybe Daniel was trying to appeal to the Banana execs or something, but I didn't think his collection was cohesive.

Chloe's collection bored me. I didn't see a point of view. I like Chloe too.

Santino's collection was everything his earlier designs on the show were not. Contrary to Nina's regular critique, that he doesn't seem to 'like' women, he made those models look stunning.

The colors he used were 'spot on' with the whole neutral trend, and I absolutely loved the last dress.

I really loved Daniel's aesthetic during the show, but he missed the mark for me.

So, going with the judges wish that the designers had used more flowers, imagine for a minute that Nick dropped the whole twig thing he had going on, kept the sleek leave skirt and put orchids or something along the bust and around the neck.

I loved the leaves along the hips, he just chose really poorly at the flower shop.

That being said, it sounds like he knew there would be a flower/dress competition, as there was one last season. I guess if I were them, I'd have been prepared for something like that.

Kara really did redeem herself, and Chloe will go far.

Michael Kors has a label that is being carried in 'nicer' department stores, its price point is like that of Ralph Lauren and Kenneth Cole. These styles are mass produced.

He also has more of a couture line, and that is what the celebrities wear. These clothes are made in very small quantities and are sometimes made to order for a VIP or celeb.

The quality of the dept store Kors is good, its just that he (or a designer under him) have just made some questionable style choices when they started it up last year, and thus what didn't 'sell' from what they made was sold off to TJ Maxx.

Found this thread yesterday!! Couldn't wait to watch last night, but it was over before it started, so to speak. I mean honestly, like they were going to kick off Nick and Santino. They found a way to keep Santino after the awful Lingerie.....

So long Marla and poor Diana.:o Marla was there a week or two longer than she should have, but poor Diana was outmatched by the 'stronger' personalities. She was doomed from day one.

Now we are down to the 'real thing' here people. No more, I'm a lawyer but I have great fashion sense, or I own my own shop, I know how to sew, I can do this. The claws are out and they are staying out! Yipee!!

Lest you think I'm totally morbid, I work in the fashion industry and these people amuse the heck out of me!!!

My only problem is I'll miss the show the week I'm cruising. Boo Hoo:rolleyes:
