I also took the Paeskatun excursion in October of 2022 and we weren't able to see the lights due to the clouds. Also, there were places that we needed a flashlight or the flashlight app on our phone to walk without tripping over something - it was really dark in some places. We also did an excursion, not through the ship, where we drove out to various places to see the lights and that turned out very well to see the lights. Having done both, my preference would be to do the chase.
I also agree with the previous poster - if you have a newer phone it takes really good pictures. Our older phones and older camera did not work well.

About how much would it cost to take a taxi from the cruise terminal to the Southampton airport? Thanks.

Ken, or anyone else that was on this cruise, do you know if Guest Services has US money on board if we needed to change larger bills into smaller bills?
-
Did they say why they are treating your B2B as one 38 day cruise? Did you book each leg separately and therefore have 2 different booking numbers?

I have not read through this entire thread so i apologize if this has been mentioned but there are other changes being made.
In addition to the changes to our fare bundles noted above, the following changes will also go into effect with new bookings made on or after Dec 14, 2022:
- Crew appreciation: The daily Crew Appreciation charge is based on stateroom category, and effective Dec 14, 2022, will increase to: $16 per guest in Interior, Oceanview and Balcony (was $14.50), $17 per guest in Mini-Suite and Club Class (was $15.50), $18 per guest in Suites (was $16.50) for voyages sailing on or after Feb 20, 2023. Whether included in a fare bundle or paid separately, this daily charge recognizes our crew for exceptional service they provide and is shared among the many members of our crew in hotel, dining and entertainment throughout the fleet. Your clients with existing bookings will have the opportunity to pre-pay the crew appreciation for their cruise at the current rate until Dec 13, 2022.
- MedallionNet Wi-Fi: MedallionNet®, the best Wi-Fi at sea, effective with voyages sailing Feb 20, 2023 and beyond, will be priced as follows: $15 per day for single-device plan; $40 per day for four-device plan.
- Medallion shipping: Complimentary Medallion shipping to a guest's home or office will continue for guests purchasing Princess Plus or Princess Premier. Guests who book with Princess Standard on or after Dec 14, 2022, can receive their Medallions at their port of embarkation, or they can elect to have the Medallions shipped for a nominal fee of $10 per stateroom. Be sure to encourage your clients to have their Medallions shipped to them prior to their cruise as this will make their embarkation an even more effortless experience.

FYI, in addition to the changes to Plus and Premium, here are other changes announced.

Sorry, we’re not on any private group excursions on this cruise. You may want to ask your question on the CC Jade Nov 13 - Dec 21 Roll Call thread. If you don’t know how to find it, let me know.
I wasn't asking about private group excursions. Since you're on the ship and have first hand knowledge of the public areas on board, do you have suggestions of places for a group of people to meet up before going off the ship.
-
I was wondering what deck was used to exit the ship while in the ports. Do you have any suggestions for where would be a good place to meet up with other people to go off the ship together if taking a private tour? Magnum’s Champagne and Wine Bar on deck 6 looks promising but there may be others.

Unless something changes between now and when you arrive on your cruise, I would imagine it would be based on what floor your cabin is on as referenced in the flyer we received today (see above)
Thanks - I must be blind as I didn't notice the rightmost column.

I'll be on the cruise going the other way in February so I was wondering if you knew how people that are not on an NCL shorex in the first port in Israel get assigned a group for immigration inspection. Thanks much for doing this "live from", it helps to answer some of my questions.

The same thing happened with my flight. It was about 1-2 months before it was changed on the Princess site.

We are booking a car with Avis in March next year. They have a drop off point at the Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Shuttle.
Budget shares this location. We picked up the car at FLL, returned it here and took their shuttle to the pier. We went to the port first to drop the bags before returning the car.

I got a check in the mail for the $8.96 about two weeks ago. I'm sure I won't see the $40. Oh, well.
I was also on this cruise. Could the $40 credit have been the 50% discount on the purchase of the internet package? Since the original purchase price was refunded to you, it would make sense that the $40 credit would be removed. This is what occurred on our statement.

When you modify your EzAir flights, you get a new Princess Booking # and a new airline booking #, you need to have add seats and your passenger airline number for each modification.
- Personalizer - travel
- at bottom of page - GREEN - “Add or Modify”
- put in dates/stops/airline as before
- choose flights for arrival and departure
- accept flights you want
- it will show old price and new price
- if more expensive, exit the site
- if cheaper, accept
- it will show new booking
I've modified EZAir flights many times and I've never received a new Princess booking number only a new airline booking number and, yes, you lose your seat assignments and have to add them again.

For the longer cruises the FCD can still be applied, not for the total deposit, but to get a 3% discount on the cruise fare along with a reduced amount of deposit required.
Thanks for this info. I'll have to give it a try if and when I ever book a longer cruise.

We used some for a cruise in August 2021 last month. A full month out
I meant the length of the cruise not how far in advance it is booked.

I don't know how long the cruise is that you're trying to use the FCD on but it may be able to only be used on cruises less than 45 days. I know mine are like that.

Yes I also miss it and would like to see it come back.

Thank you. I have been on both country' websites. Only French Guiana required yf and only for toddlers, but I have seen people write they must take one. I was hoping someone had been there recently who did not take one.
Grand Hofmann, this is what the CDC site says for yellow fever vaccination for French Guiana:
Required for arriving travelers from all countries if traveler is ≥1 year of age.
Recommended for all travelers ≥9 months of age.
So it's not required just for toddlers, but anyone over 1 yr. of age.

How far in advance are the excursions posted before they can be booked?
-
I'll be going on a 49 day cruise. Can the "by the bag" option be used anytime throughout the cruise or is it offered only on certain days?
-
I'll be on this cruise in 2016 and I have questions about laundry. Is the self-service laundry still there? How much does it cost for the washer and dryer? Is there soap available for purchase? Does the ship offer unlimited laundry and, if so, how much per day is it? Do they offer to do a bag of laundry for a certain price? Is this offer only on certain days or on any day?
Thanks for any answers you may have.

I've done this and royalcruz is right - ask for the latest disembarkation and take a taxi. You can also check the port schedule for Port Everglades at the end of your Celebrity cruise and see where the Princess ship will be docked. It may be that it's close and you can walk.

Yes, this is what is meant by "chasing the northern lights". This is the tour we used - https://www.luuso.no/our-tours/tour-aurora/
