I think the point of posting it here was trying to alert potential victims (and possible minor family members), since it sounds like law enforcement has very specific details.

    Not to insult cruising.

Correct.  Just trying to make sure whomever used that restroom knew so they can contact the FBI.

  2. Saw this on Reddit but though it should be posted here

FYI FBI is looking for anyone who may have been effected by the passenger filming people in the bathroom on Harmony of the Seas April 30th/May 1st.

I got the same message for my January Grandeur cruise.  My interpretation is that if I click I will receive 125% of my cruise planner in OBC, if I don't click (I did not), I will get the full amount credited to my cc that I used for the purchases.  That has been the case for the 7 previous cancellations, but they never made me that offer.  I hope I have interpreted it right, I would not know which future cruise to assign the OBC to.  Every cruise we have booked is a ? in these times.

That's how I am interpreting it as well.  Good.  Thanks!

  4. So we had a bunch of things booked like excursions and dining package.  When I go to try and cancel I get this message:

    IMPORTANT UPDATE
This sailing has been suspended as a result of changes and developments related to COVID-19. Learn More
If you pre-purchased any Cruise Planner items, you are eligible to receive an Onboard Credit in the value of 125% of the total Cruise Planner purchases on your reservation. Click here to request your higher value credit through December 16, 2020.

So does that mean we will not be getting a refund on anything we booked for extras?

Ahh this was just the email I got today when I went through the additions to the checkin where you choose your health screening time..  We are cruising out of Miami Jan 3rd.  If it doesn't get cancelled.

Wow, just wow. Someone asked above how they would trace you, the trace app. Well what if I keep my phone in the safe as usual? Or my tablet. How can they police you are near the device you downloaded the tracetogether app?

I have no idea.. it looks like they are giving a wristband as well but it also says keep the token with you.  I downloaded the app but it's confusing and looks like it's was made for singapore?  I had to change it to USA the default was singapore.

No one has the answers yet.  Where we are also it is not guaranteed that you will get results within the timeframe required unless you get a rapid test which is still not widely available

Ok I just noticed when I checked in again this morning this was added and then was emailed to me 😞 I mean I know it's most likely cancelled but just trying to get ducks in a row.

For anyone who hasn't seen the emails since i haven't seen it (though haven't looked hard)

We're counting down the days until your sailing with us! Here are your next steps to ensure a smooth and healthy boarding day.

    • Schedule and take a rtPCR SARS-CoV-2 test (between 24 hours and 3 days before your cruise), and bring your negative test result with you on your sail day.
      • If the name on your results doesn’t match your travel documents, be sure to bring a bridging document that proves it’s you.
    • Answer your required health questions on the app the day before you sail. You'll get a notification from our app when it's open.
    • Need to view your Health Acknowledgement one more time? Find it here.
    • Download the TraceTogether app or collect the TraceTogether (TT) token, which is required to board the ship.

    • Be sure to keep important items like travel documents, test results and face mask somewhere easy to reach! You'll need them from the moment you arrive to the port all the way to boarding the ship.
    • Parking space will be very limited, so we highly recommend being dropped off at Level 2 of the terminal during your arrival time.
    • For the best check-in and boarding experience, be sure to arrive only during your pre-selected check-in/wellness screening time with your entire travelling party.
All members of a party must be checked-in together.
      • Your check-in appointment is dedicated for your screening, so arriving earlier will have you turned away until your time.
    • Be sure to have your TraceTogether token or download the TraceTogether app in order to board the ship. Passengers without either will not be allowed to board the ship. Please note that children below 7 years old are exempted and are not required to have the TT Token or app with them.
    • Additionally, in the terminal you’ll be provided a Tracelet, which is a wrist wearable that will help us with contact tracing onboard.
      • Just like your SeaPass card you should have your TT token or your opened TraceTogether app and your Tracelet on you at all times.
    • Once onboard, use the Royal Caribbean app to start your required guest safety briefing.
    • Thanks 1

We don't let it get that far.  Our last two we've outright cancelled before final payment because it's so obvious they were going to.  We have one FCC each (deposit only). The rest we got refunds instead of taking FCC's.  For our cruises scheduled for next year, we're playing it by ear,  but won't make final payments unless it's really looking probable.

I have non-refundable deposit that final payment was due beginning of october.

No thanks! Nonrefundable deposits. I have no desire to take the FCCs or the L&S option for the two cruises. So I'll have to wait until RC pulls the band-aid off to get the cash refunds.

We are leaning towards the same.  We were thinking of lifting and shifting and at this point we are most likely going to take hte refund when they finally cancel it

Just for FYI - Princess cancelled these today:

The cruise operations impacted include the following:

    • All cruises sailing through March 31, 2021
    • All cruises longer than seven days sailing in and out of United States ports through Nov 1, 2021

The company said it is also extending its pause in operations for cruises departing in and out of Japan through June 25, 2021. Princess had earlier extended its pause in operations for cruises departing from Australia and New Zealand through May 31, 2021.

I think RCCL isn't announcing anything to make my anxiety go through the roof!!!

I'm getting so angry I'm debating not rebooking.

I believe that the L&S restriction is that you have to book prior to November 30, but you can L&S on those booked cruises up to April 2022. From RCL's T&C:

"The “Cruise with Confidence” program allows individual guests and guests in non-contracted groups who booked a cruise on or before November 30, 2020, for cruises sailing between June 12, 2020 and April 30, 2022, to opt-in for RCI’s “best price guarantee” on their current sailing, or cancel their cruise up to 48 hours prior to the vacation start date and have the option to either (i) move their booking to an eligible alternate sailing and receive our “best price guarantee” for the re-booked sailing (“Lift and Shift”) or (ii) receive a Future Cruise Credit equal to the amount of the cruise fare the guest paid for their cruise. Visit www.royalcaribbean.com/cruisewithconfidence for complete details."

Ohhhhh I was thinking that wouldn't be an option after November 30th!  Like we had to choose that before then or it wouldn't be an option.  That makes me feel a little better.

Hate this "month by month" cancellation thing.  Just another way to get final payment, then hold on it for as long as they can.  😣

Typically about mid week on the first week of the month for fresh cancellations.  Will be interesting to see how far they take it this time, since they need to actually cancel the "longer than 7 night" cruises.  Not just pull them from bookings.

That's the part that sucks.  Lift and Shift ends November 30th.  If they don't cancel by then we are just gambling then and lost the option to lift and shift.

  13. We are on the Jan 3rd sailing and have pretty much guessed there is no way that our sailing will go.  It’s been so stressful because we already have flights and hotel.  We just want to be able to cancel the flights and hotel and not wait til last minute.  And with lift and shift and the other program ending nov 30th it doesn’t leave much time to have some decision on what to do.

I did L&S on my November cruises, and just checked out some pricing in the cruise planner.... HOLY MOLY COW!

REALLY hoping for a Black Friday Sale, because the Refreshment Package is $30/day (plus grats) and the 4-device Voom is $57.57/day.  Definitely trying to make up for lost revenue there!!!!
