The wine by the bottle is much better. However, with UBP I think you get 30% off a bottle. And you sound like people who know their wine. If you do you can see which bottles are over marked and which are worth it.

Yes it is too noisy

While that is true, it is Cunard's standards which will have us giving them our money over Celebrity who has recently eliminated formal nights.
-
If you enjoy dressing to the nine, QM2 is the cruise for you. You can dress formal every night.
Which is why our money is going to Cunard next time.

Having been on similar excursions I would imagine sodas, water, juices. Since it is Jamaica, I would imagine Ting, a grapefruit soda will be prominent.
-
It does not do Alaska and its Caribbean voyages are limited but I would recommend Cunard. It was probably the best cruise I have ever been on in every respect.
-
Having done both I recommend Princess. Unfortunately their voyages when we are able to travel have become uninspired making us explore other lines. That said the boats and service are excellent. I have had decent times on Celebrity but I don't find the service to be exceptional. We are giving it one last try but this could be our last Celebrity trip.

Epic was the worst cruise I have ever been on. The boat is overcrowded and feels that way. The service is extremely impersonal and passengers are given a "you figure it out" vibe which leaves one floundering. The pool areas are disgusting and remind one of a bowl of human soup. One feels nickel and dimed the entire time. I love cruising and could not wait to get off the Epic. Norwegian lost my business based on that ship.
Your experience may be different but I would choose Celebrity over Norwegian and staying home over Epic.

It is a pretty considerable and steep staircase. That said they do ask guests who are differently abled to hang back a little while. This makes me think they do something to accommodate that.
I saw they had a separate port shuttle for differently abled people when I was aboard. I think they take pretty good care of the situation. I'm sure the more experienced can comment further, but I am thinking you shouldn't worry.

It was not too bad. We managed to get some laundry done without having to make multiple trips. Just remember to stay on top of your timing as people who leave their laundry back up those waiting.
Have a great time!

North & South is the name of NCL's signature wine. It is the label not indicative of sourcing nor type.

We are regular cruise and non-cruise visitors to the Boatyard. We love it and always spend a day. It can be rowdy, but it is lots of fun and a pretty beach.
Regarding the vendors, while the jet ski people can be annoying, they generally leave if you say "we have one at home".
Since it is not a novelty to you, they stop selling and leave you be.
I'm glad you will be safe. Have an awesome time!

I have done the walk, but I am not sure I would do it without my husband. Many parts of that walk are pretty deserted in the mornings.
I would just take the taxi, the return trip is free!

My husband and brother loved this!

Its like a basic house wine. Nothing special but nothing awful either. The price point is not bad.

Thanks to those who are frequent cruisers for talking me down. I appreciate it.

Yet if someone did a shift of morning room service, I could easily envision a wallet bursting with singles.
I must say though, being only a few weeks from our first time on the QM2 I am petrified that we have paid for a ship where sewage is being captured in buckets in the hallway.

It is not a bad little town to poke around in. You can kill some time at a cafe, do some people watching.

What a lovely story!
It sounds like a great vacation.

You present a strong case for the full passport. I am unsure I will ever use these passport cards. I guess we wasted some money there!
I appreciate the help and hope you all have the cruise of your dreams.

Thank you :)

Apologies for a slightly off topic question, but you all seem like highly experienced cruisers and spa-goers.
How do you go about getting a pass to use the thermal spa pool etc.? I was hoping to use it at least a little but cannot find the option to purchase a pass on the personalizer.
Any help or direction you could provide would be sincerely appreciated.
thank you!

Good morning,
We are planning to go on the Caribbean Fiesta on the QM2. We were wondering if this was an opportunity to take our passport cards as opposed to the full passport. Has anyone else done this?
Your opinions would be greatly helpful in making our decision.
Thank you!

Gravy as in tomato sauce or gravy as in the stuff one puts on meat?
I have heard the term used for both.

I was right across the hall two weeks ago. The bass line is pumping until about 2am every night.
