  1. CARNIVAL TO ENHANCE LEADERSHIP POSITION IN TAMPA AND

LONG BEACH WITH THE ADDITION OF NEW YEAR-ROUND SHIPS

Carnival Miracle to Operate Seven-Day Cruises from Tampa,

Carnival Splendor to Sail Weekly from Long Beach Beginning in 2018

MIAMI (November 3, 2016) – Carnival Cruise Line will expand capacity in two key markets with Carnival Miracle operating seven-day Caribbean cruises from Tampa and Carnival Splendor offering week-long Mexican Riviera cruises from Long Beach, Calif., beginning in 2018.

Prior to launching service from their new homeports, both ships will offer extended Panama Canal cruises in January 2018 that will feature a variety of spectacular ports throughout the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America. Carnival Splendor will also operate unique 14-day Hawaii cruises round trip from Long Beach.

With these capacity increases, Carnival is further bolstering its leadership position in two popular homeports, adding a second year-round ship in Tampa with Carnival Miracle and a newer, larger vessel on the West Coast with Carnival Splendor.

“Tampa and Long Beach are both highly convenient and popular homeports and we’re delighted to provide our guests with exciting new year-round cruise vacation choices in these two markets,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

Seven-Day Cruises From Tampa Aboard Carnival Miracle

Carnival Miracle will launch a year-round schedule of seven-day Caribbean sailings from Tampa Jan. 27, 2018, becoming the second ship based at the popular southwestern Florida port. The week-long adventures depart on Saturdays and Sundays and feature four of the Caribbean’s most popular ports of call: George Town, Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico; and Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan; and Belize City, Belize, each of which offer world-class beaches, water sports and a variety of shore excursion opportunities.

The seven-day voyages from Tampa are part of Carnival’s exclusive Cozumel Plus program, which feature extended stays that provide guests even more opportunities to experience and explore one of the Caribbean’s most diverse vacation destinations. On Cozumel Plus itineraries, guests have access to a variety of new excursions, many taking place on Mexico’s mainland – with unforgettable tours like swimming with whale sharks, visiting centuries-old ruins and swimming in hidden caverns, complementing nearly 50 existing tours already available.

The 2,124-passenger Carnival Miracle joins the 2,052-passenger Carnival Paradise which operates year-round four- and five-day Caribbean cruises from Tampa. Carnival is the only year-round cruise operator from Tampa. The two ships will offer the widest variety of four-, five- and seven-day itineraries from Tampa and carry 320,000 guests annually.

Week-Long Mexican Riviera Cruises Aboard Carnival Splendor

The 3,006-passenger Carnival Splendor will launch a year-round schedule of seven-day Mexican Riviera cruises from Long Beach, beginning Jan. 27, 2018, replacing Carnival Miracle and representing a 41 percent capacity increase on the line’s week-long cruises from the West Coast.

Three different itineraries will be offered, each featuring stunning destinations along the Mexican Riviera. One itinerary visits Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta, another spends two days at Cabo San Lucas and a full day in Puerto Vallarta, and a third overnights in Puerto Vallarta with a day-long call in Cabo San Lucas, as well.

On these cruises, guests can relax on beautiful beaches, visit centuries-old historical sites and enjoy unforgettable dining and shopping experiences.

Carnival Splendor will join Carnival Inspiration and Carnival Imagination which both offer three- and four-day Baja cruises from Long Beach. With the addition of Carnival Splendor, the line will carry upwards of 700,000 guests annually from Southern California, operating nearly 250 three- to 14-day cruises a year.

The cruise will visit Cartagena prior to the Panama Canal transit, then call at Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Additionally, Carnival Splendor will operate two 14-day Carnival Journeys cruises to Hawaii round-trip from Long Beach – one departing Oct. 13, 2018, and the other Dec. 1, 2018 and visiting four breathtaking Hawaiian destinations – Maui, Honolulu, Kona and Hilo, as well as a call at Ensenada, Mexico.

  2. Here is a link to an old review (with pics) of HMC that I saved when looking for info when I booked our cabana last October. We also booked #10. Upon entering the ship when my card was inserted, alarms went off! Turns out that was a reminder to go to Excursions Desk to pick out our cabana (that was on the Glory; don't know if that happens on all ships). Main difference from then and now is the addition of Pirates Bar and the two-story cabanas. Enjoy your cabana - we did!

  3. I do believe that is the case on delivering your liquor purchase to your room last night since they allow you to bring it directly to your room if purchased last night. On the Glory, both weeks they had 15% off everything in the gift shop first two nights. If that's the case on the Conquest, better (and cheaper) for you to purchase early on.

In the B2B info packet left in our room, there were two small tickets with notation "In Transit." These were to be used in the event you wanted to get off the ship and would allow you to get right back on, so you could drop off your purchases in your car -- just have to fill out the customs card with your purchases.

  4. Just did it in Miami a couple weeks ago on Glory. Met in Atrium, gave the staff member our card so she could ding us off the ship and gave us new cards. If you want to keep the old card, let them know so they will return it to you. We filled out the U.S. Customs card but didn't fill in any purchases at this time; did that at end of second week.

Staff will escort the group to customs, we handed over the card and then returned to ship. They had champagne & OJ waiting for us and then took a group photo. Delivered 2 8x10s of the photos to our room the next day. All very easy process.

Also, if you go to the gift shop last night of your first week, you can bring your liquor purchases directly back to your cabin.

  5. We booked a Pack & Play cruise on Oct. 5 for a Nov. 28 sailing. Here's one of the T&Cs that was in the booking confirmation email:

Cancellations will be assessed penalties according to your promotional agreement as follows: ; 10/05/2014 - USD50.00 (pp); 10/14/2014 - 50.00% of total fare (pp); 10/30/2014 - 75.00% of total fare (pp)11/14/2014 - 100.00% of total fare (pp)

  6. If there are any funds remaining on the card after payment of sign & sail, those funds remain on the card for future use. They don't issue cash refunds, but the cards have no expiration date so you can use the funds for a subsequent cruise.

  7. Thanks for posting this. I checked my husband's offers (he gets them - I don't) and he had the Pack and Play offer. Booked a balcony on 11/28 Liberty -- After I went online and bought one of the $500 e-gift cards (for $450 -- thanks to those posters also :) ) through Verizon. Paid for the cruise with the certificate and still have funds left over to apply as OBC. Booked air with SWA points; I fly as a companion fare so only have to use one set of points. We're ready to go!

We will be on the Glory 10/18 thru 11/1. After booking the first week, premier casino offer came out for the following week, so we're booked b2b.

So many good cruises included in this offer, but they just didn't jive with our schedule. Oh my:D

  8. My husband has switched the credit card he used to set up his account online to a different one upon check-in, so if you do need the card in hand, you can switch to a different card if someone you are traveling with has a card with them.

  9. Picked up this tip on the boards and is very helpful, especially on a port-intensive cruise.

Take a photo of the cover of the Fun Times each day and it will be so easy to tell in which port (or day at sea) you took all your photos that day when you get home and start going through all those pics.
