  1. These phone calls have gotten really bad. You aren't the only person who is more upset after the call than before. Their wine offerings are pedestrian. And their hard alcohol offerings aren't great either. This idea of the Disney name or the Disney charm is laughable. Their charm isn't worth the insane prices they charge for a product they keep making less attractive.

  2. I agree with the PP that DCL might not be the right choice for a Med cruise. My theory on cruising is that in the Caribbean I chose based on the ship, in Europe or other locations I cruise based on the itinerary. I just don't think DCL is worth the higher cost on a port intensive cruise where the ship is more of a floating hotel.

  3. I usually buy the CD since pics are my favorite souvenir. Also, I like the ability to print the pics in any size. The prints on the cruise come in at sizes and you can't choose. One of them is an odd size that doesn't fit in most standard frames properly.

  4. I would suggest calling them and emailing them as well. The only way they will know is if the customers reach out and tell them. Let Disney know that you are disappointed in their bait and switch tactics. Also, if you were thinking about booking another cruise while onboard but are not going to do so now, tell them that. At the end of the day they are a company and if this move (as well as a few others lately) shows us anything it is all they really care about is the bottom line. The only way they will stop is if they realize their tactics are effecting the bottom line. JMHO.

  5. I don't think that information is correct. The fireworks are set for the day of the Star Wars party per Disney.

"Star Wars Deck Party and Fireworks

There’s intergalactic fun when the Star Wars deck party blasts off to an exciting evening filled with music, dancing and games.

Star Wars characters converge on the deck stage for a celebration of the Star Wars saga in a show featuring special effects and guest participation.

The deck party culminates in a spectacular display of themed pyrotechnics, lighting, sound effects, lasers and Star Wars music."

  6. We love the second seating. I like not having to rush to get ready for an early dinner on port days and my kids prefer the show before dinner. We don't eat really early at home and often eat even later on weekends and on vacation so it works great for us. My youngest enjoys going to the kids club right from dinner. We just let our server know he will be leaving at 9 and they get his dinner out quickly. Being proactive and letting the server know when you are seated works best with that service.

  7. I agree that the dress in the MDR will vary greatly. Many people don't dress up for the formal nights though I find that there are more people dressed up on the 7 night cruises than the shorter cruises. You will fit in fine in pants and a black polo. Palo takes the no jeans seriously, even if you are in dressy jeans and a nice top and heels. In Remy everyone was dressed a bit nicer. But it is a high end French restaurant.

  8. If you want to mix up a little drink on deck, I recommend the little airplane bottles. You can get some lemonade from the soda fountain, add a little vodka, and you are all set. The little bottles make it easy to be discreet. Also, if you bring wine on board, ask your stateroom host or hostess for wine glasses. Then if you are enjoying some wine while you get ready for dinner, you can top off your glass and take it with you. No one will say a word.
