I love Wonderland!!  So glad you ran into us!  I love that there is a Madhatter.  We had one not the TA and he was awesome.  I knew he would be leaving and I love his replacement.  Hope you had a lot of fun with him.  We loved ours.

  2. I was on Symphony TransAtlantic when you were doing this review!  Glad it was here for me to read when I got hom!!  I see a few familiar faces also followed along!!  Silky Sal!!!  I have not cruised with you in quite a while, and when I did, I think my friend Kay was with me and not my husband!!

MrFunInTheSun...... you did an awesome job as usual!!  If I knew how to post photos, I would post the one of the shuffle board you asked about on Symphony which is on the running track off to the starboard side.  On the port side, they have ping pong tables.  I had to retrieve a bouncing ball once on one of my walks!!  LOL

Looking forward to your next review on Symphony!  I left some alcohol on there, although we did our best to drink it all on the crossing from Barcelona to Miami!

  3. So the title on the TV screen says "Like Father" but that's not what is playing, was wondering why I never saw Kelsey Cramer. It's that other sap movie from Hallmark channel playing in a loop "love at sea"

Hey, I liked both of those movies.....even the sappy Hallmark one!! I would have loved seeing that on Adventure last week. We had the WORST tv choices ever on that cruise.

  4. Good Day Cruise Friends...

This past week I've done some light reading to help prepare myself for this cruise. I'm feeling pretty confident now and feel I should have an even better week and not make mistakes that make my cruise and life in general miserable. The best part is my confidence is using Windows 96 on my iPhone. Knowing about Windows 96 will now be a breeze and it will surely help with posting pictures to this nifty thread.

This is what happens when you pack all your luggage and put it out without remembering that you do have to wear something more than underwear when you get off the ship the last day!!

  5. So sorry to hear that but thankful that you will get safely to shore. Is Deck 14 staterooms? Where are those people staying tonight?

Deck 14 is the Windjammer in the back of the ship and I believe the Solarium bistro in the front of the ship. I got off of Anthem on Saturday.

  6. Safe travels home!! Loved your whole review and am excited to be on her very soon for her TA home. I am so sad to see those public balconies go. I loved sitting out there, I will miss it.

Thanks for the update on what is happening to Pets at Sea, I like the new store going in.

I am SO happy to hear that the Cupcake store is just moving.. I love those things. What was your favorite Gluten Free cupcake? I might like to try it!! I do not have to be gluten free, but I have found some things that are quite yummy gluten free on land....hope I can find something on sea. You would think that they would have the flavor thing figured out by now. More and more people are gluten free and the first time I sailed with you was almost 3 years ago and from the sounnd of it, most of their gluten free food is the same as it was back then.

  7. Linda, you showed a photo of Pets at Sea......is that closing permanently?

If this will help you find them, it's a photo of the gnomes from 2012. Maybe look for this type of foliage and then peek inside!

Janey, I have been on Oasis many times and I didn't even know the gnomes existed!! I can't wait to hunt for them in two weeks!! At least I will have you on the ship to ask just in case I can't find them!! LOL

  8. You've given me a new thing to look for! In all the times I have been on Lady O, I have never seen that little boat: SeeYa363!! I will have to hunt for that!!

You are looking lovely as ever in your photo. Thanks for posting that!!

Love Vintages and the ability to use the BOGO coupon there. I had a $36 glass of wine that was the best wine I have ever had.....and I got it for $19 a glass. Hoping it is still on there in a few short weeks when it is my turn to sail on her!

  9. When we were on the Allure we used the interacive signs by the elevators and on the tv in our rooms o determine where to have breakfast and lunch each day. It showed us which venue was full and which was not. We never did have a problem and we were able to try different venues each time. We only ended up in the WJ once. We enjoyed the view sitting outside the Wipeout Cafe and the cooked to order eggs. Near the end of the cruise we discovered the Solarium and the breakfast there was wonderful! Loved the banana pancakes we had there one day.:)

I would have been upset not receiving back my old Seapass card! Those are my refigerator magnets on my back up fridge in the garage. I can see them from every cruise from the very beginning every time I pull into the garage.:)

    That is a great idea!!

  10. Pancakes were not good.

Decided to go up to Solarium to check out their offerings. Took pic of MASSIVE queues outside WJ.

In Bistro saw guest eat fruit off large serving spoon with fingers and put spoon back. I made appropriate vocal sounds, grabbed spoon and handed to server behind the counter. She swapped out the whole dish. Grossed me out.

Yeah. They said they would send the old card to the room. They haven't so far.

I have never seen them do that. Hope you get it back! When we did our B2B's we were always given our new card and we had to click ourselves out and then click ourselves back in. We actually left the ship and went into terminal 18.....since you aren't in Florida, I am sure that is why things are so different for you.

Love your review and all your photos, but especially your photos of Rome. I spent a month in Italy in college and 4 of those days in Rome.......thanks for the walk down memory lane!! Nothing has changed since 1979!! LOL

  11. Currently sat in Studio B waiting for the turnaround process to start. I hadn't realised the MDR would close at 8 and had taken myself on a tour to grab some stateroom pics..... They've now turned the lights off in here so people with reading books are struggling.... Had breakfast in WJ which was fairly civilised as at 830 many passengers have already disembarked.

Am on laptop and uploading the pics from this morning.... I don't usually break into the Blog like this so please forgive me but I wanted to get these pics in asap. Please also bear in mind that the room doors are open because they are being cleaned...... there was one room I was asked to get a pic of but the door was firmly shut and you have a picture of that!

I have to go to Guest Services at some stage this morning..... my paper account arrived this morning..... I'd paid cash last night.... and it states something along the lines that I had elected for RCL to process the conversion.... er..... no I hadn't and actually took a pic of the form at checkin with option A scrubbed out..... not sure if I will pay cash this week or not but want to be sure that if I charge my CC provider will deal with it.... not using a $$ card as in previous cruises....

ETA...... so far they have called people up by row..... I was sat at the back with the laptop on a ledge so amongst the first to be called out. They are taking our seapass cards one by one and then sitting us in a different area. So now we wait for our new cards.

Did they actually take your old sea pass card and not give it back to you? I have aways gotten to keep mine when I have done a B2B.

  12. Hi Linda!! I am going to be following along and can't wait for you to experience one of my favorite ships! Can't wait to see it through your eyes! I will be on the western TA on October 14 out of Rotterdam. I am excited to see what they change.

Had another idea Linda. Please take a photo of the obstruction on deck 7 aft that prevents passage between the aft elevator lobbies.

I can answer this question, because I have stayed starboard side oceanview aft on deck 7. The entrance to Boardwalk on deck 6 is two stories tall and that prevents a walkway from the starboard aft elevators to the portside aft elevators on Deck 7 We would just go up the stairs or down the stairs one level if we wanted the elevators on the other side.

One thing we thought was really fun about being on that deck aft was that we could walk all the way to the back of the ship and there was a door that lead out to the Aqua theatre area and a stairwell that we could take one flight down to the Boardwalk area. We were pretty far aft, and this came in really handy when we wanted to go to Johnny Rockets for breakfast!

WELCOME HOME!!!! Loved every moment of your review!!

Hi Wendy ! Chris needs a vacation after all the work he did for his "live from" posts. I see that your Vision cruise that stops in Bermuda is not that far away. I have your email that you gave me, so I hope you don't mind if I ask you questions about it when you return. I am interested in Bermuda and would probably would leave from N.J. I worry about rough seas going to Bermuda. Bermuda itself looks lovely. It is funny you mention bagel and lox. That is what I eat for breakfast everyday on a cruise.

    Thanks again Wendy !

    Sali

Not a problem at all!! My cruise leaves out of Fort Lauderdale. I will be happy to answer any questions you have when I get back.

  14. Was that lox at the buffet? We have been wondering where We could get bagels & lox on the ship. Do you know where it's available ?

You can find lox in the Windjammer at breakfast time and also in the Park Cafe. You can see it in the photos of the Park Cafe that I posted earlier. I love lox and bagels, and eat it on the ship sometimes. I find that all that salt gets to me after a while. I would eat it everyday if my body would let me!!

Curious as to what those strange lights are in the sky?????/

I think that is a reflection off the window. He took that photo of the outside behind a window.
