I think it was majesty of the seas.

I wil be in Italy for 2 weeks in August.
I'm wondering if there are any 1 or 2 night cruises in Italy? It can be river or ocean. Something out of Naples or Rome would be best.
Do these short cruises exist?

Bottled waterrrrrrrrr

If you end up going to Jamaica, do not, I repeat, do not take your boys into the town on your own. Shore excursion would be different but I would make that a ship day.
-
What exactly were the negative reviews about? I was on Indy for first and only cruise in July and it was great.
Although I would highly suggest that you don't actually walk into the town of Falmouth on your own. You will get accosted by many Jamaicans and that is just a fact. It can be very unsettling. The shops at the dock are fine, but I'm talking about past the actually dock shops/security. -
I was in ft lauderdale this August and uber was not operating there, just FYI. Some dispute with the local dept of transportation.

Hi, I was just wondering if your current cruise director is the new one on indy. I sailed 2 months ago and it was Leigh from Australia at the time.

Is it even legal to cruise by yourself when you're under 21?

I had a junior suite. Guess we didn't count. :(

Yes, just go to cafe promenade and order a decaf latte.
The non-alcoholic drinks are not very good. Just piña colada, strawberry, mango, and someone else. But all it is is a mix and ice. These you can get at the pool bars. I wasn't impressed.
The cafe promenade is pretty good coffee drinks. If you'll get a few latte, cappuccino, etc during the day , might be worth it.
Some ships don't have the super soda machines.
imo, the best thing about this package is he bottled water. And the fresh oj in the morning.
I would miss the bottled water and special coffee, but I'm not sure I would spend $320 on this package again. It's a borderline purchase for me. I enjoyed having it, but I think I'd rather just save the money and buy a few random coffees.

I was just on Indy and I had no idea that they serve breakfast there!!!!!! I would've tried it.

You can sleep on your balcony without disturbing the air conditioning.

Exactly the information I was looking for!!! I see a potential stay on the ship for us in Falmouth.... :o) Thanks!!!
This is pretty much what we did. We got off the ship and went shopping. We then went past the "gates." Which take you into the actual town. As soon as you get outside the gates, you are accosted by Jamaicans every 5 seconds asking if they can take you on a tour. It is very aggressive. We didn't like it at all. I know they are just trying to make money, but it was very uncomfortable.
However, if you have a guided tour set up through rc, I think they drive you from within the port zone (before you get to the town gates).

Okay so I'm fresh off of my first cruise and I gotta say with all due respect and in every loving way that any human deserves - the cruise director on the independence of the seas is a bit wacky. Okay not a bit. He is nuts. Bordering on inappropriate at times, with a dirty questionably kid-not-so-friendly humor and juvenile personality.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure some people love him. But he certainly wasn't in good taste for me.
Are all cruise directors trained to be this nutty or is Leigh just a special case?
The things I enjoyed was on the tv when he would go around and show you how the food was cooked or how the ship recycles, etc. the informative stuff was good although he did make many inappropriate jokes along the way.
What has been your experience with cruise directors? My wife really got to dislike him and every time I would see him on the tv or around he ship, I would say IT'S YOUR FAVORITE GUY!!!! ITS LEEEEEEEEIGHHHHHHH

Gave additional tips to my waiter and assistant, room attendant, the cafe guy, and a photo girl who helped us out last minute. But the big tips were for wait staff and attendant.

My first complaint is that there are very limited dining options when you board and everyone and their mother is at the windjammer. It is so crowded.
-
Hi all,
We are at port Everglades waiting to board independence of the seas! I am too cheap to buy Internet for the cruise, so I wanted to thank you all for answering my questions even though they have probably been asked before.
Thanks for all the help. See you in 7 days.
By the way, boarding has been a breeze and everyone who works at the port is very very friendly. Well done, RCI.

Haha I do not intend to be at the "regular" pool at all. Solarium only.

The sailing for tomorrow is sold out as well. It is annoyingly over-crowded? First cruise.

I've been trying to look for information as to what "premium tea" means when you buy the royal replenish package. Can anyone tell me where and what is included?
I'll be on the independence of the seas (no Starbucks).
Are there tea lattes and other tea drinks at the cafe promenade? What about in the mdr? Do they give you a wide selection of tea leaves?
Thanks for any info.

I won $6,500.00 on WHEEL OF FORTUNE after I had just won the slot tournament for $857.00.
Thought i would 'throw a twenty in' before I went to meet my sister at the pool. I was so excited - yet all by myself as sis was up top. Bought myself a beer and bought one for the first person that stopped to congratulate me - it was the person I had just narrowly beat in the slot tournament but he did appreciate it!
What were you betting? 50c? $1? That's a high payout.

Are there other cruise workers that are generally ignored that you have found time to talk to?
No Balcony offered?

Ahh ok thanks. I didn't even consider that ships didn't even have a regular balcony category. Is the majesty an older ship?
We are going to have a 5 month old at the time so I can't even cruise in March. Oh well, I like summer temps better anyway.
