Hello,

We are considering going on a transatlantic cruise next year departing out of Barcelona. Prior to the cruise, we were also wanting to travel to Rome to do some sight seeing but we did not want to take all of the luggage for the cruise to Rome.

Does anyone know if the hotels in Barcelona will hold you bags or are there any services that are available to perform the same function? If so, does anyone know what the cost would be?

I just went on the Air France website to provide our passport information and I noticed that Air France pilots may strike between June 10th and the 14th.

My family and I were set to fly to Rome via Air France on the 13th so we could join our cruise on the 15th. We immediately called the airline and we were able to change our outbound flights to Delta.

If you are flying Air France, I encourage you to to call them immediately if your flight is falling within the strike dates.

I am trying to plan my return trip to my hotel in Rome after the cruise and I noticed on the NCL website under the vacation summary tab this message.

Due to security reasons, all guests must be on board 2 hours before sailing. Disembarkation usually begins 2 hours after docking. Itineraries are subject to change at any time without notice.

According to the schedule, the ship pulls into port at 6:00 AM. Is the above message a generic disembarkation message or is there a high likelihood that we would not be able to get off of the ship no earlier than 8:00 AM?

We have booked our 2016 summer vacation on the Epic and I was wondering if you have to purchase a spa pass to access the steam room and sauna?

My only cruising experience is on the CCL Conquest and I was able to access the gym / sauna / steam room without purchasing any spa services.

I am sorry for not stating my port and ship. I will be sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale on the Conquest. I also have FTTF.

I live in So. Fla. about an hour from the port and 10 minutes from the airport I would leave from. If I go, I would probably need to be at the airport around 2:30 PM.

It sounds like the cruise industry is more reliable than the airline industry but there could be some potential issues,

I may need to leave for an international trip the day of our return from our cruise so I was wondering what is the likelihood that the ship will return to its home port at the posted time?

I understand that things that the cruise line can not control, health of passengers and crew, weather, etc., have to be taken into consideration but barring these issues, what is their record like for timeliness?
