We had a Club suite on the Jewel.  I booked it because there is more space in the bathroom and the balcony was larger.

I just received an upgrade email.  We are booked for club balcony suite on Encore.  I am interested in bidding for the Haven Spa room.  I have never bid before.  Can someone tell me:

1.  Are Haven balconies good- large with no obstructions?  I love sitting and watching ocean and glacier from there. 

2.  What is final cost - bid x 2 and any other charge?  I heard travel protection increases.

3.  Is dress code different for Haven area?  DH does not like to dress up.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Not connecting

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – View was great, no obstructions. Life boats are deck below, so if looking down you will see them.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal size balcony. Two chairs and small table.

Was wind a problem? - Calm seas so wind was not an issue.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No drawers - closet was half hanging / half cubby holes.

Any other comments? - Large washroom. 2 sinks and good size shower

One perk we recevied was OBC per person. ($70 each) Is the total amount available to either person in cabin or limited to $70 per person?

If NCL gives you OBC and you don't use it, do you get it in cash at end of Cruise?

Also, if DH and myself get OBC does it matter who uses it, or is it just an amount per Cabin?

Does anyone know what beach the NCL - Beach Getway excursion goes to?

Which port(s)?? Never heard of such a thing with NCL.

Happened to us for our Jewel boarding in Seattle. We were there an hour or two earlier than the time I selected, and we had to wait.

Love this review. We will be on Escape in April and your review has me looking forward to the trip.

I'm posting in various places on CC not knowing where the best spot is, to ask basically, the same question. Solo female in this port and will not just wander alone. Not safe. I have tentatively signed on for a shore excursion called Beach Getaway with NCL. Nothing but terrible reviews on this spot on the NCL site. But, sometimes, only unhappy people post a review. So...if anyone has been on this same excursion, please share the experience. I'm likely staying on the ship which I never do. I did not choose the western Caribbean, it chose me after the CAT 5 hurricanes in the eastern. Thanks in advance for info on the excursion if you've been!

DH and I are also schedule to take this same excursion, but I think I may cancel it. Would love to hear from those who have been on this Beach Getaway as well.
