We were on Journey last week (the cruise ending on the 28th Dec) and just to say that it is a fairly short walk from the ship to the town in Madeira. We were allowed out on independent tours in all ports but that might have changed

Just booked our first trip on Celebrity. Had sworn never to cruise on a 2000+ boat ever again but this is the only one that will get us from A to B at the time we need to get back to Europe. Azamara does not do this route until a couple months later. Comforting to know that quite a few Azamara fans also cruise on Celebrity so shall hope for the best.

I am puzzled as to why there is a pricing differential between the UK and US website. One of the cruises we planned on booking cost a lot less on the US website (after allowing for exchange rated variants) so I tried to book via the US website. Being from the UK my query was then redirected to the UK website and I was told that I would only be able to book and pay in sterling or euros. I object to paying more for the same cruise than someone based in the US so decided not to book.
