  1. My wife and I are going on a cruise in Sept. She has Diabetes and both of us have a history of heart problems (AtrilFib and Flutter). For these reasons alone we are considering trip insurance. There are so many companies out there, could someone give me some ideas of good companies to go with? Also, does insurance usually cover pre-existing conditions in case we have problems while on the ship? Thank you all in advance.

  2. I am going out of Port Canaveral on a cruise in Sept. We are flying into Orlando Sanford Air Port which is roughly 60 miles from Port Canaveral. I am planning on getting a hotel and the next morning catching a Lyft to the port. Has anyone had any problems getting a Lyft ride to go that far? I don't want to get stranded there with no drivers wanting to go that far. Is this going to be a problem? Thanks in advance.

  3. I am cruising in Sept. and will be flying into Orlando Sanford Int Airport. Can anyone tell me what the best way is to get to Port Canaveral? I know there are Ubers but they can get a little pricy depending on the time of day. Thanks in advance

  4. In the past I have carried prescription medication on a cruise in sandwich bags being as some of my bottles are rather large. A friend of mine pointed out that Carnival or the airport (could) say that they don't know exactly what is in the bags and not allow them, which would not be good. I have not had a problem in the past putting them in sandwich bags but my friends idea sounds like it could happen. Can someone share some insight as to how you bring your meds on a cruise? Thanks in advance.

  5. I read something that Carnival offers Text Message Alerts that let's you know when there is a change in your cruise or any problems that might pop up. I also found that this is offered when you are Checking In. Does any one know of another way to sign up for these as I either was not offered it or did not see it when I was checking in. Thank you

  6. I am sure this has been discussed before but I can't find anything on it. In Oct we are going on a cruise with some friends. The lady has been prescribed by a physician, Cannibis Oil for some of her problems. I know what Carnival says about not bringing it onboard but is that also with a doctors prescription? She needs this to function normally each day. Thanks in advance for any help.

  7. Hi all, I sail on the Horizon on 15 Oct. In my cellphone Carnival app it says that I can check-in on July 17th. If I go to my account on the internet it says that I can't check-in until Sep 29th. Does anyone know why there is such a discrepancy and which one might be correct? Thanks

  8. Hi all, quick question. In October I am going on the Horizon and I was wondering with the Bottomless Bubbles package do they have Coke or Pepsi? I would think that they would have to have Coke onboard because how else would they make a Rum and Coke? Anyway, just interested in the Bottomless Bubbles. Thanks

  9. We are cruising on the Horizon in Oct with some friends. The lady is not able to stand easily to shower. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a Bench or Stool from Carnival to use in the shower and will one even fit in the shower? We have booked them a regular Cove Balcony room. Thanks for any help

  10. Hi all, RC website says that my cruise is in 84 days. It also says that the check-in window is 90 days before the cruise for check-in. When I go to my app it says that they are still getting things ready and to check back later for check-in. Does anyone know nowadays how many days before a cruise we can check-in thru the app? Thank you.

  11. In Oct my wife and I are going on the Horizon with another couple. Our female friend cannot walk distances so we are thinking of getting a wheelchair to get her the majority of the way then she can walk thru stores, lido deck buffet etc. If anyone can give me ANY info about wheelchairs on cruises it will be majorly appreciated. Info such as how to go about getting one, price, where they can be kept when not using it, is there places to put it while going into shops, pool etc. Anything else will greatly help. Thank you

  12. Hi all, Both my wife and I purchased the Ultimate drink package a few months ago for our cruise on the Oasis Of The Seas that is now in three days. My doctor informed me yesterday that due to health reasons I am to have No alcohol. Can anyone tell me if they have No Alcohol beer on the Oasis Of The Seas? I have heard that Heineken makes a true 0% alcohol beer. We still want to keep the package for other reasons so am looking for alternatives because I do enjoy my beer on cruises. Thanks in advance for any help.

If your cruise leaves on a Sunday, Thursday is the earliest day to test.

Thank you for your response. Do they not count the day of sailing as one of the three? The way I figure it Fri would be the earliest. Would sure hate to miss it by one day.

  14. Hi all, I know it is still early and cruises are just getting started again but I have a question. I have a cruise booked for Sunday December 12th. I will be going down to Miami the day before. If RC still has the rule that I need a negative Covid shot within 3 days of cruising, that would mean that I only have Friday the 10th to get a test with my family doctor. If something happens and he can't do it, what are my options? Will RC do them at the port? Will I need to find someone in Miami? Like I said, cruises are just getting started but how does everyone plan on handling this. Thank you in advance for the help.

  15. This is my first time on Royal Caribbean and we have a cruise booked in Dec. (Keeping Fingers Crossed). I will be wanting to get the Alcoholic Drink Package and I see now that it is $58.00 a day. Is that a good price or should I wait some more before getting it. Also, if I get it now then have to cancel later will they refund my money for the package? Thank you very much in advance.
