Daniel Johnson had us back to our ship about 4 hours prior to departure. We could have done a longer tour, but we chose not too. You will get to hold a sloth there, and play with monkeys. As previously stated, they need to make sure you are back at your ship or word would get out, and people would not book their tours anymore.

I booked both of these items directly with Daniel Johnson. He has a Facebook page and I just sent him a message. He got right back to me with options and information.
This. We booked as well through Daniel Johnson's FB page. Emma was there waiting for us, gave us a thorough tour of the island, did the monkey and sloth hang out, and then did the pirate zip line tour. Overall, a very good day!

Just a tip for those who are debarking in Tampa and renting a car to continue on their trip - the National Car rental place is NOT at the Westin Tampa Harbour Island, as indicated on their website. We took a cab there after our recent cruise, and the valet, thankfully, told us that this happens all the time before we unloaded every one of our bags. And the cab driver very graciously took us to the actual location (it was still within the flat fare zone, but we tipped him extra). When we got to the ACTUAL location (on our confirmation, it said 'Westin Tampa Harbour Island', but did have the correct street address for the car rental location - they need to fix this!), the lovely folks behind the counter apologized for the confusion, and gave us a full tank of gas as a perk for our trouble.
We went with renting there instead of at the airport because it was closer, and a good bit cheaper. We'd do it again in a heartbeat, but next time, we'll confirm the location AND the street address.

Do you mind listing the location? We have a car booked at the Alamo which is supposedly the same location as National. It shows 725 S Harbour Island Blvd in all the web sites and the one I booked from.

We sailed on the Nov 27th cruise. Stayed at the Marriott Waterside and left the hotel just before 11. Walked over to the terminal (15 min or so), checked in and aboard the ship by noon. Quick, easy and a very pleasant experience.
