  1. Questions about the thermal area:

    - If we pay for access to the thermal area for the duration of the cruise, then do we just walk in whenever? Make reservations? Wait to use the area of choice? And if waiting, what length wait should we expect?

    - For anyone that has used these areas, did you feel it was worth it to have access the entire week?

I love spas..This one seems like a steal at $99. NCL Escape's spa I paid double.

So figuring using it 3 -4 times , I would say so at $99. If it was $200 for week, I would have gone for a day pass on this cruise.

First visit they set you up with a card or pass and no reservations after that.

  2. I am not seeing this offer on the website. Where is it listed?

    Yes I called.

I first had seen it online (herbal tea 30minute massage and weekly thermal pass) but had to call because website orders do not work for me.

I would think I am safe as it appears on my E-tickets.

  3. My guess is the less expensive prices shown are for the divina and the more

Expensive for seaside. Can anyone confirm?

The divinas spa isn’t very nice with no water features. The “relaxation room” is six wicker lounge chairs crammed in a small space. I’ve read seaside has a proper spa.

For $198 a couple on Seaside, we have a 30 minute massage and weekly pass.

I called ,due to website not working and it is listed on my E-ticket.

  4. So is there anyone that can confirm they bought the pass pre cruise and it was good for the whole cruise?
It was not easy! Could not get it thru online,so I called and

I can confirm that on the Seaside for $198 per couple,we have the weekly thermal pass, 30 minute massage and tea!

  5. For the life I dont understand the popularity of 1 cent machines. But they are the overwhelming majority on the Escape. Yes the Flintstones machines were there.

I feel it is the interactive/video emotional appeal:

The alluring game quality that newer slots have attract slot players.Game designers are charged with somehow summoning the ineffable allure of electronic spectacle — developing a system that is both simple and endlessly engaging, a machine to pull and trap players into a finely tuned cycle of risk and reward that keeps them glued to the seat for hours, our pockets slowly but inevitably emptying..

  6. Not really sure why the need to comment "how sad" that people are at the airport while you were home, or why the need for the dig at people about lacking "courage". Everyone is different. Some people like to take risks. Some people like to play it safe. It's the same reason why some people will never step foot in a casino, while others will bet $10,000 on Black and think nothing of it if they lose.

Trying to catch an early flight is along the same lines. You might make it, you might not. You take a risk but you can get rewarded by being home early. The flip side is that if you miss your flight, you have the hassle of trying to make arrangements to find another flight, or finding other means of transportation home, etc. As long as you are OK with accepting either outcome, then go for it.

But I've seen too many consequences of missing a flight. I was at the Orlando airport renting a car for a Disney vacation back in October on the Saturday right after the hurricane passed through. The rental car line was well over an hour, and many people in the line were people with no reservations who were coming off of cruise ships that were delayed because of the storm. Hundreds or thousands of people missed their flights, subsequent flights were all booked, and many were trying to rent a car and didn't have a reservation. People were crying and begging. Someone offered me $500 to transfer my reservation to them.

Just way too much stress about the thought of missing a flight. On the converse, so what if you are sitting at the airport for a few more hours. Read a book, watch Netflix, have a cup of coffee, enjoy a nice lunch. After you get back home from your cruise you are back to "regular life" so why not relax during the last few hours.

Like I said... everyone is different. One person's way is not necessarily another's, and neither are necessarily wrong.

    Well said ;

  7. Ended up using my Palazzo cruise certificate for an already booked cruise next spring by cancelling and rebooking (rebooked to a nicer interior) Between actually winning at the tables and the cruise savings, I am ahead several grand. It is ALL good.

Although miles away I have received a combined Grazie casino match play/Hotel /cruise offer.

Can you please tell me on this casino cert, ,if you have to pay a pp fee along with port fees and taxes?

My first casino offer there was no fee with Penn National/Carnival

My current 2017 booking on NCL there was a $250 pp fee plus port fees and taxes ..Approx $870 for 2 in large oceanview cabin...

    Thanks,

    JT

  8. That is great to know. There is probably no way I would qualify with NCL CAS alone. We usually get no more than 2,000 points on the ship in the casino. I rarely go to land base casinos, but will if they keep sending me the certificates. We already booked an OA cabin with the UBP and SDP for the Dawn in October using a certificate.

But everyone's advice has been great. Thanks!

    Thanks for some insight .

Did you upgrade from Inside cabin?

Booked an Outside OA Cabin on Escape in 2017 with the first Twin River received this year but had to upgrade from inside for an extra $180.Total about $870 for 2.They would only give me 1 free choice, stating CAS promo only allowed for one.

When I called back to inquire about the SDP , they said it was for 4 days only.Hope they were wrong.

I also had not played at this casino for over a year when I recieved the first cruise certificate. They also sent the invite for 8/27/16,which I may take the 1 hour drive to check out.

I recieved the free cruise from Plainridge/Penn National for a Carnival Valor cruise and the neat thing about that one is there is no fee, were it's ($500)for 2 people on NCL.

I have played heavy at Foxwoods in the past decade but never have received a cruise offer.

  9. Hello all,

I am booked on the Escape, my second NCL cruise on a Casino offer.

I had paid approx $160 extra to upgrade to OA large picture window.

Have recently received the 10k in points.

My question is;will I be able to use the double meta upgrade and what

level does it bring you to?

Not sure if it gets me to a lower level balcony or Spa balcony level?

    Thanks,

    JT

  10. I am on a 11:20a.m. departure from Mco. If I run late ,I can change it for a 2 p.m. flight at an airport 50 minutes further the original...private transportation says if I get off boat by 8:45 ,should be fine.. [emoji87]

  11. Yes

I called security Sunday and he said it was a security program and wait 48 hours-72...I only tried because of the special

$15 off and it worked after going through 3 more security screens/ calls via PayPal.

Did you find a work around? This must be my issue.

I originally tried to purchase 1 $25 and 1 $50 and that didn't work. So, I changed it to 1 $100. That doesn't work either. Lame.
