Just had an announcement from the Captain that the passenger reported missing this morning has been confirmed by CCTV footage to have gone overboard in the early hours of Friday morning. Sad news.

UPDATE:
The offer (comped mini-suite, Princess Plus and $1500 free play) finally showed up in my listings on 7/10/23. However, when I tried to use it, it would not apply to any cruise. Apparently there was some "glitch" that wouldn't let the offer be used and it needed to be "further escalated", which the Navigator promised to do. To be honest, I wasn't holding my breath, but this time, the wheels turned swiftly.
On 7/12/23 I received a phone call from Ian, one of the Navigators in the Casino booking department, saying they had straightened out the issue and could book the cruise for me (with all the perks) immediately, which was done. VERY impressed and thankful for the excellent customer service shown by Princess casino booking staff for their resolution to the problem.

We disembarked the Ruby Princess on June 16th with a generous "Come Back and Play" offer. I've made multiple attempts to book another cruise (the latest attempt being today, 3 weeks after disembarking); however, I'm being told that the offer is still not showing up in their system. Does anyone know of a contact person at Princess that can get this offer put into the system?
We had hoped to use this on a September Alaska cruise, but with the delay, it's looking less likely that that will happen.

Same with us - contracted C-19 on a September sailing and were told we would each receive $800 in FCC within two weeks. Four months later, nothing.
We booked through the casino department. When I called them to inquire on the refund status, I was given the name of a supervisor to email. It's been a full month with no response.
Any ideas?

Does anyone have an email or a phone number to contact Princess in this regard?

Ah, okay, thank you. We’ve never sailed out of SF I don’t know what is around the port, if anything. Maybe someone else will know. ☺️
There's a Safeway supermarket on North Point, about a 15 minute walk from the pier.

Hold 'Em tournaments on the Ruby in September. The LIR table, though, was gone and another Blackjack table was in its place (and was empty most of the cruise).

Sounds a little strange to me. Our medallions were shipped from Singapore by a company called Agility Technologies, which initially concerned me because I had NO idea what that company was!
I placed the order on May 18th and our sailing is tomorrow. We got an email notification on a Thursday abut two weeks ago, and they arrived the following Tuesday via FedEx.

My first drink onboard is the "Dirty Banana". Careful, they will sneak up on you!

What are "operational restrictions?"
My guess is, "operational restrictions" means that they don't want to be halfway to Hawaii and have someone become seriously ill and need a medevac. That might prove a little difficult.
(and yes, we were also supposed to be on the 12/7/21 sailing)

Received full refund to our credit card for our June 12th sailing on June 18th. FCCs were also returned to our account. Cancellation date was April 14th (by Princess). I did not file a dispute with the CC company.
There is light at the end of the tunnel!

Had it on the Royal in November. Delicious as always.

Hi Greyhound, If you are going on the Grand Princess (an older ship) they still give you your free play in cash. Their system has not been changed for machines to accept free play. Our last few cruises have been this way including the one we were on last month.
That is exactly what happened! Unfortunately, I didn't have much luck with it...

Just off the Grand and the internet is horrible. I could not connect from my cabin at all, and when I did connect it was like using dial-up.; Had purchased an upgraded plan and had it refunded.
Do not waste your money on this ship's internet.

Yes, you have to pick whether you want free play chips or slot credits. You can choose which game (or games) you play, though.

I take a 35 pack of Coke onboard (thank you, big box store!) and usually restock in one of the ports. Never had a problem.

Do want a maximum return in real money and leave the casino after that? If so, I'd say Black Jack. If you do want to have the most fun for your $500, you really should try Black Jack. 😀
I had considered blackjack; however, there are a couple of factors I'm not comfortable with.
First, I do not trust automatic shufflers, and I will NOT play a table with a 6:5 blackjack payout. This would put me at a $25 minimum table (assuming they are dealing from a shoe), with a maximum of 20 bets. Maybe 10 minutes to play it through?
Second, the free play chips are good for one play, win or lose. How this would work on a "push" hand, I don't know. In theory, the bet should be left in play, but in practice... who knows? Not sure I want to find out.
PCL used to give players cash instead of this "free play" stuff, but too many people stuffed the cash in their pockets and walked - which is why it's now given as freeplay.

Going on Princess in a couple weeks and have $500 free play waiting. Debating whether to take it in chips or slot credits and asking for opinions.
I normally play WPT Texas Hold ‘Em or a similar variant on the tables and Double Double Bonus on video poker (but not much, due to the garbage pay tables). If I find a slot I like, great, but usually play at a lower level than max bet as $5 or more a spin would blow the bankroll. VP, though, is always at max bet for obvious reasons.
So, what would you do, fellow cruisers?

If you got a guarantee it can be issued to you the day of. Don't stress about it. You will get a room. My last one was assigned to me 5 days out.
Understood. I’m thinking there are two ways this could go -
1. We end up pleasantly surprised with an upgrade. 👍
2. We end up with the most undesirable cabin on the ship. 😳
Hoping for #1, obviously!

Checked the OBC but nothing there...
OOPS! Yes, it is... right where Crystal and AreWeThereYet said it would be! Thanks! 🤑
Now if we only had a cabin assignment... 👍

Fat fingers.
I thought there would be previous mention of this but I don't see any. This morning at about 6 am, there was an announcement from the bridge for a passenger to contact guest services immediately. This was repeated about 20 minutes later.
At 4:30 pm, just before sailaway, an announcement was made from the Captain that the passenger reported missing this morning had been confirmed by CCTV footage to have gone overboard in the early hours of Friday morning. Sad news.
