Does anyone have an idea of what days/times this is offered on the Getaway? The link to the Dailies in this thread is not working and I want to make sure we plan around it.

Hello we are longtime Norwegian cruisers and have a long 16 day cruise on the Getaway and snagged 12872.
Been doing careful research and this seems to be one of the famous angled balconies .
I have seen pictures and I understand these are great and give a larger enjoyable balcony .
Can anyone confirm if these Aft ones are great options . Thanks very much
We have this cabin for an upcoming cruise. Can you recall if the balcony dividers can be removed as we have friends in the next door cabin and would love to open it up if possible.

I would definitely call NCL and ask. You never know what they're willing to do.
Thanks! I called NCL and they don't know if the balcony dividers open. I'm going to try again later and see if a different agent may know better.

Thanks for the reply, Dave! I really want to book the AFT balcony but we need either the rooms to connect or the balcony (preferably the balcony) for kiddos to easily go to and from rooms. Looks like I may have to book a regular balcony :(

We just got back from the Getaway. I wanted to post this information on the Aft cabins since there is so little informaiton out there about them. I hope this helps anyone thinking of booking an aft. We had 3 aft staterooms on deck 11. Cabin #’s 11912, 11314, & 11310. The deck plans online make you think each cabin may be a different size or shape. They are not. All the cabins were the same size and layout of any balcony cabin on the ship. Cabins 11912 & 11314 had the bed next to the closet. Cabin 11310 had the bed next to the balcony. Now for the best part of an aft cabin, the balcony. They are LARGE. About 10 feet deep. Each aft balcony had 2 loungers, 2 chairs, and a small table. Nice and private too. You could only see up or down to the balcony above or below you if you came out to the rail otherwise no one could see you sitting down. They provide a great view of both sides of the ship and the wake behind. Plus the Captain backed into every dock which gave you a great view of the islands at port. NOTE: if you like to hear the ocean at night but want your AC to stay on just unlock the balcony door and keep it closed. Not sure if I can go back to a regular balcony again! It was so nice to be able to make a cup of coffee and layout on the balcony every morning. Yes I said make coffee. The balcony cabins each had its own small coffee maker. A first for me on a cruise. RCCL and DCL do not have in room coffee makers. Nice benefit NCL!
We are looking to book 11910 and 11912, do you recall if the balcony dividers can be removed? Would love if they can 'connect' through the balconies which would make our balcony even larger. I know they can on the side balconies, not sure on the AFT. Also, know the 'safety rules' indicate they shouldn't.

I tried finding this answer in another thread but with no luck...I'm hoping someone might know the answer here.
I just switched from a BF on deck 11 AFT to a B4, Deck 9 MID (Rooms 9856 and 9858). Now I'm a little worried the view might not be as nice.
Interestingly, when I look at the descriptions on NCL's site, for the 9856 it lists the following bullets that are NOT included in the description for 9858.
Pier midship
Convertible Single Sofa Bed
Private Balcony
Floor to Ceiling Window
I'm not sure what it means that there is no note of a private balcony, etc for 9858. Anyone have any insight why these would be excluded from another B4 cabin?

Found a pic from my review, figured I'd post it quickly for you. We were deck 9 more aft though..
Looking forward

Doing a mock booking, once you get to the page where you actually select a specific stateroom, there is a tiny little blue "view more" under room details which states bed location.
That said, it reads 9858 "bed near entrance" and 9856 "bed near balcony door".
Enjoy your cruise!
Thanks for the quick response and guidance on how to learn the layout! Is deck 9 a good deck to be on with a balcony? We were on 11 but now being on 9, I'm not sure if that's better. It seems were a lot closer to the main walking area. Hope that means we won't have disruption from people being loud outside.

Does anyone know the configuration of beds for rooms 9856 and 9858? I don't know how to determine if the beds are by the balcony or closet. I just upgraded from a BF to a B4 for no additional cost and not really sure how the balconies differ, aside from location.

My tags showed on 2 pages also. I toggled off the print headers and footers option and they then printed fine on 1 page without rescaling.
Was having the same problem and did a search through the forum and found your answer...worked PERFECTLY! Thanks for the resolution!

Supper Club was 90 minutes....Million Dollar Quartet was about 75....hope this helps.
Thanks for the quick reply and insight on each!:)

Million Dollar Quartet was exactly 100 minutes on our cruise - an hour and 40 minutes. We specifically timed it.
Thanks for the speedy and precise response - exactly what I was looking for as I create my schedule on an excel spreadsheet! :)
-
Does anyone happen to know the length of each show, particularly those that can booked in advance? I booked the Million Dollar Quartet and The Supper Club but don't know how long they last to know when to book any dinner reservations following.
Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know if the age cut-offs are strict? This kids in our group will be turning six 3 and 12 weeks after our cruise. They are in kindergarten and wonder if the 3-5 group will be too 'young' for them.

Does anyone know of you can play Pickle Ball on the ship? My step dad was on a recent Celebrity cruise and there was a mini league formed while on the ship!
-
Stateroom 11880, bed by the door, open up the deck plans!
My parents are staying in 11880 on our cruise in March! Balcony pic would be awesome!

I have called NCL and they indicated they didn't know if or what would be done for Easter week. [emoji52]

We were on the Getaway for Easter 2014, it was a sea day. I didn't notice anything special, I think there was an Easter egg hunt for the kids. However, we don't celebrate so I wasn't looking for anything, so I may not be the best person to ask, :) There was plenty to do on the ship, I don't believe there were any religious services. I will see if I still have the dailies.
Did you ever happen to come across your Dailies for your Easter cruise? I'm on the Escape for Easter and curious what (if any) Easter activities they'll have for children.

Thanks for the great overview. May I please have a copy of the Dailies? Thank you! taniaclasen@gmail.com
